The Manager, Marketing works with the JLL Minneapolis team to develop and execute strategic marketing campaigns that help promote the JLL brand and its commercial real estate services to the market. The ideal candidate is not only a pro at developing marketing strategy, but also a proficient project manager, storyteller and quick to adapt to a fast-paced environment. This person will spend the majority of his/her time executing the following responsibilities:

What this job involves

  • Create comprehensive, integrated marketing plans to drive awareness, consideration, purchase, preference, loyalty and/or advocacy for JLL

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the key business drivers and use this knowledge to deliver breakthrough marketing campaigns that meet or exceed business objectives

  • Partner with Research, Design, Digital, Business Development and Communications teams (among others) to deliver meaningful content to the market

  • Devise event concepts and lead all pre-event communication, planning, logistical coordination, execution and follow up for the company and business lines

  • Identify speaking opportunities to elevate JLL brokers and staff as industry thought leaders and subject matter experts

  • Identify, recommend, execute and measure effectiveness of sponsorship opportunities

  • Management of multiple projects simultaneously with minimal direction to the satisfaction of the stakeholders

  • Research and prepare pitch and proposal materials highlighting JLL's value and expertise for potential clients and prospects

  • Work with assigned brokers and business lines, along with graphic designers, to create custom-branded materials for JLL properties, including, but not limited to, logos, naming conventions, brand identity and key messaging

  • Provide guidance on creating multi-touch, integrated marketing campaigns to nurture and increase interest in properties

  • Identify and utilize latest technology and programs to illustrate JLL as a thought leader and industry-leading organization

  • Act as a steward of the firm's brand and visual graphic standards

  • Partner with national business line marketers to ensure cohesive client-facing messaging

  • Localize national initiatives to ensure maximum results

  • Maintain all project files, including budgets, production schedules, copies and completed work samples

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years in marketing and/or business development role a fast-paced work environment preferred

  • Previous experience developing and executing integrated campaigns from inception to completion

  • Is a self-starter; able to start and complete projects independently

  • Comfortable and confident taking charge of a project or situation to meet business/client goals

  • Adaptability maintain effectiveness in varying environments and with various types of people, is interpersonally savvy

  • Takes consultative approach with internal stakeholder projects

  • Ability to multi-task and work on a variety of different projects/tasks at once, gets more done in less time than others

  • Confident, assertive and deadline oriented

  • Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships with individuals at all levels within the organization

  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills

  • Resourceful and team oriented; works well with others in a cross-functional way to get the job done

  • Excellent written and oral communications; conveys ideas clearly and concisely

  • Impeccable attention to detail; completes projects and tasks with thoroughness at each step; will not overlook what needs to be done and can be depended on to do each task accurately and completely

  • Creative, "big picture" thinker

  • Advanced Microsoft office product knowledge Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Adobe InDesign and Photoshop proficiency preferred

  • Travel required: 5-10%

Responsibilities: * Ensure the handling all publicity requests including press releases, solicited stories for upcoming events, day of show photo/media requests. * Direct the maintenance and updates of press and contact lists (radio, television, print, web). * Ensure the compiling and sending of press releases, publicity materials and photos to writers, editors and other promoter partners as directed. * Direct the distribution of spots to both radio and television stations. * Direct the in-house graphics department on print ads, flyers, postcards and posters for upcoming shows. * Ensure the arrangement of artist/media interviews; phone-ins, remotes, in-studio, etc. * Develop creative marketing/promotional plans with outside agents and managers. * Implement creative marketing/promotional plans with local media including the negotiation of rates and the implementation of paid/trade advertising schedules. * Assist the Sponsorship Department with year-round maintenance and end of year recaps for each show and series as assigned. * Direct show and non-show related marketing projects and initiatives. * Direct the creation of high impact promotions and strong consumer awareness for various events with a focus on non- paid media which results in driving ticket sales. * Build strong relationships with record labels, publicity firms, artist management, internal employees and management and other industry stake holders.
