The Marketing Manager, Patient Services plays a supporting role in the development of our patient support strategies across the AbbVie portfolio for current and future pipeline products. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working to build outstanding patient treatment plan experiences. This person will be responsible for supporting program improvements, partnering with Field-based teams, Marketing, Legal/Compliance, Medical, Regulatory and additional partners. This position is office-based.


  • Requires minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree a plus.

  • A minimum of 2-4 years in the pharmaceutical industry with expertise in market access, patient support, sales, marketing, or related commercial function in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry

  • Experience working within a matrix organization a plus

  • Expertise in bio-pharmaceutical products is preferred.

  • Experience in Medical/Legal/Regulatory Review processes at a pharmaceutical manufacturer

  • Candidates should have working knowledge of the compliance and regulatory environment for manufacturers in the pharmaceutical space

  • This is an office-based position. This position requires up to 15% travel.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Partner with those who manage day to day operations of the patient support programs

  • Support the design of patient support programs

  • Establish and maintain appropriate relationships with commercial business partners in patient support, field teams, managed healthcare, trade, marketing teams and purchasing

  • Work in conjunction with finance, legal, regulatory and compliance, etc.

  • Develop patient support content through cross-functional collaboration and working with agencies of record

  • Ensure consulting compliance requirements are fulfilled through content and contract submission and approvals

  • Manage the patient support program competitive intelligence research and communication within organization to maintain market knowledge through partnership with market analytics and business insights

  • Ensure agile procurement of vender partner contracts and purchase orders for business service agreements

  • Ability to manage 15% travel

This position will work with cross-functional BTS teams to launch care model technology solutions built on technologies/systems including but not limited to Patient Relationship Management platform built on SFDC Health Cloud, Integration services built on TIBCO, data lake built on AWS, CRM campaigns built on Adobe or SFDC marketing automation platform, websites built on Adobe Experience Manager platform, etc. for new and existing specialty brands This position is responsible to manage the business and BTS relationship, resolving any issues that may arise; Provide expert advice on design, justification, implementation and business use of applications; Analyze business processes; elicit, analyze, and document business requirements; identify alternative solutions, assess feasibility and make recommendations typically seeking to leverage new or existing technology components. Collaborate with business analysts to translate business requirements into functional requirements and groom and validate requirements. Create and drive project timelines. Responsibilities * This position is responsible for planning and overseeing a portfolio of technology projects from ideation to completion; including securing cross-functional alignment on project scope, benefits, cost, and timeline. He/she is expected to work effectively across various IT shared services teams, external Marketing Agencies, and other business stakeholders. * Manage a portfolio of projects for the specialty brands; providing visibility to business and technology leadership on the status, benefits, costs, and risks of new requests and in-process projects. * Develop comprehensive project estimates and timelines by soliciting input and collecting feedback from all impacted stakeholders. Work across IT and business functions to negotiate and secure the availability of resources to meet the demands of the Brand. Supervise a matrix team of Project Managers, Architects, Business Systems Analysts, and Programmers to deliver technology projects for the assigned Brand. * Responsible for compliance with applicable AbbVie Policies and procedures. * Work with minimal oversight; deliverables and relationships are monitored through periodic reviews. * Work with Business Relationship Managers to understand the business requirements and deliver IT solutions to enable the business needs. * Take accountability to deliver multiple applications in parallel and accurately report schedules and statuses; Manage and prioritize projects based on business needs. * Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
