Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or Marketing
4 or more years of marketing or other related experience. Demonstrates strong leadership in strategic and conceptual development of messages and writing persuasive and compelling copy. Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong business writing skills.
Maintains an extensive knowledge of distinct writing styles including AP style
Can write for both long and short formats; print, web and social media.
Can proofread materials for accuracy, correct use of grammar, punctuation and content. Ensures all documents and materials meet established content standards.
Manages development, strategy and utilization of Expert commercial content. This includes writing and editing commercial content; execution of content placement to maximize awareness and sales; coordinating with the sales and marketing teams to anticipate future commercial needs to maintain and increase share. Content to be utilized across multiple mediums and industries.
Key Job Activities:
Content generation for internal and external commercial pieces utilizing multiple mediums and targeted at varying audiences. Including but not limited to collateral, presentations, customer and employee letters.
Develops strategic content plan in conjunction with the sales and marketing teams to align with sales and awareness goals.
Interacts with external parties to enhance content offering, develop strategic approaches and continually refresh content mediums. Daily media monitoring of industry news and trends to drive relevant content topics and theme ideas.
Ongoing creation of thought leadership content to support digital awareness efforts including weekly blog writing and social media posts, website copy and short papers. Content support for PR initiatives including Quarterly Recall Index report.
Strategic content generation to support industry meetings and tradeshow events including session proposals, company descriptions and promotional materials.
Develops professional business communications and messaging to support robust customer and prospect communications program (TPM) to build awareness and achieve top of mind status with key contacts.
