JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summery

Reporting to the Director of Market and Consumer Access, you will lead and execute consumer access strategies for the continuous and blood glucose monitoring portfolio. Addressing patient affordability and access is a critical need in the evolving managed care landscape. You will work with the trade, market access, consumer, finance and the healthcare professional sales and marketing teams to support the growth of on-market and new products while building awareness of access programs. As a member of the consumer access team, you will provide in-depth analyses to create effective pricing strategies to optimize for profitability and be a team player with strong leadership and project management capabilities.

  • Primary responsibility for building the consumer access strategic and tactical business plan and associated processes. Develops the annual consumer access business plan based on effective market access definition, segmentation and targeting. Gain an understanding of customer sensitivity to pricing, analyze market data, and identify critical market trends and opportunities across all channels.

  • Develop and execute consumer access growth strategies and tactics, including patient access programs that target key customers. Gain management approval by presenting detailed plans prior to implementation of programs. Leads all aspects of tactical implementation, including timelines, creation of promotional and training materials, and training of internal stakeholders and field based professionals (Market Access, Trade and Healthcare Professional Sales Force and Marketing). You will also provide relevant market/environment insights and strategic/tactical direction pertaining to consumer access for new product launches.

  • Interact with key internal stakeholders to ensure strategies and tactics are linked to achievement of critical business objectives. Key internal stakeholders include Finance, Regulatory, Sales, Managed Access, Legal, Contracts and Pricing and all marketing personnel. Support field-based professionals for consumer access programs

  • Manage efficient and timely delivery of consumer access deliverables (price-value models, access messaging)

  • Create and develop affordability campaigns for patients

  • Compare prices set by competitors and measure customer satisfaction and adoption based on price

  • Understand contract negotiations as well as proposal development. Manage effective vendor and agency relationships. Select vendors for consumer access programs and projects.

  • Budget for all consumer access resources, including defining and securing needed resources to accomplish business strategic objectives and adhering to established budget guidelines.

  • Lead a team to build pricing models and understand the impact of pricing on profit margins. Lead development of all consumer access resources and pull-through tactics and coordination with Sales Force/Marketing including implementation, and measurement.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors Degree required; MBA preferred. Six years marketing experience with a minimum of four years in a commercial role including, product marketing. Previous experience in IVD, Medical Devices or a related health care industry is preferred. A solid understanding of the commercial device market with pharmacy channel experience is a plus. Backgrounds in pricing, reimbursement, payer strategy, health economic, strategic marketing, strategic planning, business development and finance are desired but not required.

Furthermore the following skills and experience are critical for success:

  • An understanding of the U.S. healthcare, regulatory and pricing environment

  • Working knowledge of pharmacy, OTC or MO/DME channels for fulfillment

  • Proven ability to work and communicate across a matrix organization and ability to lead projects and getting alignment

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; proficient in English

  • Understanding of finance and accounting principles

  • Possess strong analytical skills, business and financial acumen, and capable of effective use of market research, forecasts and business analytics

  • Demonstrate strong customer orientation/focus

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Powerpoint

  • Ability to connect analytics with the overarching business questions, and can understand the link between access strategy and analytic insights

  • Manage ambiguity by questioning data and/or stakeholder for further nuanced information

JOB DESCRIPTION: Deliver global market access, pricing and reimbursement strategies for on-market products, pipeline and future technology platforms for ADC, as prioritized by management. Map external payer environment and communicate to internal stakeholders and senior management relevant information regarding the current and future reimbursement landscape of key markets. Evaluate threats and opportunities in key markets rising out of legislation and regulation from government and/or private payers as well as competitive market access moves that can impact access of ADC products and pipeline and proactively develop strategies and plans to address the evolving reimbursement environment. Inputs into evidence planning to expand reimbursement to adjacent patient segments and new markets. Collaborates with core teams to ensure decisions to generate clinical and Real-World Evidence are taken early enough to support reimbursement and market adoption. Responsibilities: * Contribute to ADC strategy to achieve, maintain and expand market access, price and reimbursement for ADC pipeline and on-market product portfolio. * Effectively leverage global payer expertise and utilize brand strategy, competitive profiles / positioning, clinical / economic data and stakeholder insights to justify product value. * Leverage internal knowledge within commercial teams and clinical / medical affairs to gather feedback from key opinion leaders and map out global reimbursement pathways. * Liaison with cross functional teams including with Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, R&D, Area Market Access and Affiliates to ensure solid understanding of global payer markets and emerging stakeholders in the reimbursement area and translate reimbursement requirements into product specifications and assess potential reward and risk * Contribute to product strategy by aligning reimbursement studies, primary and secondary research with product intended use. * Inform payor value proposition for new products, indication/label expansion and new markets. * Lead global payer messaging and utility of deliverables through affiliate feedback and external research. * Work with commercial teams to develop HCP educational collateral on coverage decisions, study results and product intent. * Contribute to Clinical and RWE strategy and study design studies to ensure alignment with business need, scientific soundness and executional excellence * In collaboration with Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs and Regulatory Affairs, develop clinical strategy early in product development that supports broad market access. * Support Areas/Affiliates in addressing market access, price and reimbursement challenges. * Establish guidance to Areas/Affiliates and Global Brand Teams to optimize price, access and reimbursement. * Continually update Market Access teams with emerging data, competitive events and payer requirements Qualifications: * B.A. or B.S. Degree required. A Master's Degree in Business Administration, Public Health or Health Policy preferred. * At least 5 years of experience in healthcare reimbursement and health policy is needed with background in real world evidence, health economics and outcomes research and peer review publication process. * Medical Device experience is preferred but not a hard requirement. * Broad knowledge of government and private payer reimbursement in the US and OUS markets and understanding of the health care policy is desired.
