Job Summary
The primary goal for this position is to promote Acre's capabilities and services by keeping the architecture and design community up to date with current furniture trends across all markets and aligning with Steelcase as our main manufacturer. This position is also responsible for all internal marketing efforts that promote Acre and our events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Organize all internal marketing efforts and work with outside marketing firm, Marcomm.
Plan and organize all internal and external company marketing events sometimes in conjunction with Marcomm.
Monitor and update SeenSpire, an internal marketing scrolling tool.
Oversee Steelcase Premier Partners marketing requirements.
Handle all walk-in and website inquiries on low-volume office sales.
Develop, implement, and maintain the A+D strategy and initiatives with Sales Management.
Increase market presence within the local design community while representing the Acre brand.
Create and deliver presentations for strategic A+D firms, including Steelcase CEU presentations.
Identify new opportunities/projects within strategic A+D firms and work with the Acre team to close sales.
Develop and maintain a strong network within the A+D Community.
Learn Steelcase's workplace research concepts and build them into selling strategies.
Update Steelcase branded literature for firms not on Steelcase's "Strategic Account" list.
Build strong relationships through visibility at IIDA and other professional organizations.
Conduct yearly executive reviews with strategic A+D firms.
Develop an annual business plan.
Attend and participate in all sales, training, and company meetings as scheduled by Sales Management.
Work in tandem on planning events and initiatives to overall A+D, CRE, and clients of major accounts with the Business Development team.
Maintain up-to-date project information and provide status reports as requested.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, business administration, or a related field.
2-3 years of related work experience preferred: commercial office furniture, architecture & design, commercial real estate, construction, outside sales, or marketing.
Exceptional computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment while managing several tasks at once.
Demonstrated high personal performance standards, the desire and ability to continuously learn, and a results-oriented work style.
A high level of personal integrity and business ethics.
Ability to lift up to 30 lb
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in the contract furniture industry.
A knowledge of Steelcase products and workplace insights.
Physical/Mental Demands
This position can be performed while standing or sitting, must be able to work at a computer for long periods. Occasional bending, twisting, or reaching. The ability to climb stairs is required. Occasional lifting may be necessary for up to 30 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision. The ability to talk, listen, read, and write are important functions of this job. Working Conditions
This position is office-based. However, it requires frequent local travel to meetings and events. A valid driver's license and regular access to a vehicle is required.
