The Marketing Liaison is responsible for developing census as defined through targeted goals of the business plan and developing referral relationships within the geographic territory with an emphasis on face-to-face contacts. In addition, the liaison will assist with coordination of referral to admission conversion process and represent us in community-related activities.

  • Current driver's license in state employed and acceptable driving record according to company policy

  • CRRN preferred. Education, Training and Years of Experience: - Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent job experience

  • Minimum 2 years experience as clinician or tech in healthcare environment preferred

  • Minimum 1 year experience as nurse liaison or successful sales experience in healthcare environment preferred

  • Familiarity with acute hospital, rehab hospitals, and local healthcare market preferred Machines, Equipment Used: - General office equipment such as telephone, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, computer. Physical

    - Good visual acuity and ability to communicate.

Summary This position has responsibility for the development and management of physician referral relationships that support designated institutional service lines by designing and implementing plans for referral development, through coordinated and collaborative efforts involving physician relations, faculty and staff and other relevant client groups and stakeholders. Particularly, this position will focus on identifying new growth opportunities, balancing retention needs, and be responsible for establishing and monitoring metrics to track growth and overall performance. This includes responsibility for establishing an innovative, best practice physician relationship management plan that is aligned with the institutional goals. This position will serve as a direct connection between internal and external clients and will represent the clinical care centers and the Houston Area Locations thru face-to-face visits, educational lectures, Continuing Medical Education events, outreach events and exhibit at oncology conferences. Key Functions The Physician Liaison will function in a highly matrixed environment. This position has a high degree of visibility and requires a highly self-motivated individual who must be able to coordinate all referral development efforts around community physician referral sources related to the institutional goals. The position incorporates a high level of creativity, independent planning and decision-making, effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to influence and move relevant prospects from initiation through referral. This position will cover the Northeast Houston territory. This includes Inner Loop Houston 45/610 to Nacogdoches and Lake Charles, LA. Develop Service line and Physician Relationship Management Plan: * Research, extract, and analyze data and information, market research including client feedback, in collaboration with internal clients to develop a physician relationship management plan to promote the clinical service lines and Houston Area Locations in alignment with institutional goals. * Responsible for identifying and targeting appropriate physicians, physician practices, and relevant community groups/individuals. * Develop an in-depth knowledge of the faculty, programs, and services available. Maintain full knowledge and understanding of the MD Anderson patient referral process. * Familiarize yourself with faculty in the territory and medical center in order to promote multiple service lines and new faculty. This may include onboarding activities, collateral development and faculty visits. * Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of, the patient and physician portals and their key functions for facilitating patient referral and secure access to patient medical record information. Expand and Increase Referrals in Designated Territory: Understand Healthcare and Oncology dynamics and Communicate to Internal Stakeholders: Other Duties as Assigned * Implement physician relationship management plan by coordinating in-person contacts and appointments with community physicians and or staff within the designated territory, as defined by physician relations and leadership. * Facilitate appropriate interactions between faculty and community physicians. * Develop relevant collateral materials for the territory and faculty. * Represent MD Anderson in the utmost professional manner. Position and present the institution enterprise with the highest degree of knowledge of the client and client expectations. * Network, research and plan Educational Lectures, Continuing Medical Education events, outreach events and/or Grand Rounds (speaking engagements) for faculty to speak to groups of referring and potential referring providers. * Utilize social media i. e. Twitter as a way of keeping referring providers abreast of clinical trials and innovative treatments offered at the institution. * Determine appropriate metrics with Physician Relations business analyst and institutional leadership to determine, track and measure service line growth relative to referral development goals for the service lines promoted. * Utilize Tableau Reader/Salesforce/Crimson/CRM tools to track growth and overall performance of territory. * Document activities in the customer relationship management system (CRM) system. * Communicate feedback related to issues and opportunities related to the clinical service lines and Houston Area Locations to internal and external stakeholders and collaborative groups. * Develop & implement the strategy needed for new business solutions identified within territories, i.e. new programs needed in the community, faculty sub-specialization, and new collateral pieces. * Understand healthcare industry dynamics and how they relate to clinical service lines and Houston Area Locations development. * Understand physician referral decision factors, using such knowledge of the physician referral base to inform ongoing growth planning and strategy development. * Participates in special programs, projects and other duties as assigned this may include; travel, overnight travel, evenings or weekend assignment. Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare or related field. Required Experience: Five years of sales experience to include business/sales plan development.
