ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY-
The successful candidate will be a new graduate or enrolled full-time third-year student in a major university or college and studying marketing or communications. We're looking for a driven, ambitious individual who wants to learn various disciplines in marketing communications. This individual will be responsible for providing support to all aspects of the marketing department, and in doing so you will gain invaluable experience in this fast moving, dynamic discipline. An example of some of the marketing sectors that this position will support are events management, web development, content creation and our ever growing social media strategy. We provide training, guidance and support, as well as the opportunity to experience the industry from the inside and gain valuable work experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS-
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Preparing weekly marketing team reports
Updating the central Sales Toolkit with new marketing assets & collateral
Regular website updates and tweaks
Uploading to the ses.com/networks pages centric blog pieces and articles
Prepare mailing lists
Devise E-marketing strategy and campaign
Assist Director, Marcomms and the Senior Global Programs Manager with Global ProgramsMarcomms & Ops support, updating events calendar, etc.
Assist Director, Portfolio & Solutions Marketing with general support
Track the collateral and giveaway usage and quantities
Assist with internal communications
Prepare internal PowerPoint Presentations
Other marketing tasks as assigned
Familiar with the basic concepts of advertising, PR, digital communications, social media and multimedia
Excellent Interpersonal Skills
Skilled in taking initiative and forging strong relationships
Ability to quickly grasp the purpose of the company, its products and its marketing objectives
PowerPoint and Excel proficient
Familiarity with social media strategies and platforms
Great organizational abilities
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
New Graduate or 3rd year Marketing, Business or Communications Student
Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite products, in particular PowerPoint and Excel
Prior Marketing Intern experience at a technology company preferred
OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS / COMMENTS
Ability to multi-task and take initiative
Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
Understanding of global cultures and protocols a plus
