The Idaho State Department of Agriculture located in Boise, ID is pleased to offer a summer Marketing/Business Internship beginning sometime in June 2019.
We are currently recruiting for an intern for the Market Development Division, located in Boise, Idaho. The intern will provide support to domestic marketing programs. Responsibilities to include assisting with the domestic marketing program including events, marketing materials, writing articles for blogs and newsletters, assisting with retail programs, food service programs and other special events.
This position does not have benefits.
Duration: This position has an approximate end date sometime in August 2019. The number of days and hours per week are flexible, averaging 20 hours per week, could be more depending upon number of activities taking place. Example of Duties
Assist with Idaho Preferred and other domestic activities, including:
Farm to summer
Retail road show planning and preparations
Social media copy
Work with Trailhead/University of Idaho/SBA on additional seminars
Junior or senior college standing in the spring of 2019 or recent graduate.
Pursuing/obtained a degree in Marketing or Business
Ability to market oneself and one's ideas
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail
Creative and resourceful
Basic understanding of business fundamentals, needs and development
Demonstrated skills in follow through on multiple tasks and willingness to step in and assist whenever needed
Dress and conduct oneself with professionalism while representing ISDA
Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook
Familiarity with Illustrator and Photoshop
