The PepsiCo Foodservice (FS) Division leverages innovation to accelerate growth and build competitive advantage, and we lead with consumer insights to develop strong innovation strategy rooted in consumer/operator empathy. This role is integral in building the Foodservice innovation agenda and helps to set strategic direction by unlocking data-driven, actionable insights & providing a more holistic understanding of new business models and innovation.
This role is responsible for driving insights in support of the innovation agenda across our equipment and product innovation teams and reports to the Senior Director of Foodservice Beverage Innovation. Key projects that this role will support include: Project Bobcat, Snackbot, and a variety of frozen / fountain beverage innovations across core brands such as Pepsi, Mountain Dew, bubly, Lipton, Tropicana, and Stubborn.
Strategic thought partnership to guide equipment and product innovation ideation and commercialization
Design research plans against business objectives, timelines and budget for the short-term Innovation agenda within Foodservice
Partner in developing marketing objectives and strategies by providing guidance to business team in identifying key business issues and opportunities related to Innovation
Continuously enhancing our Insights capabilities via technology and process improvements (e.g., virtual reality, tech-enabled behavioral observation, test & learn pilots, etc.)
Manage supplier selection, activity and work flow to ensure cost efficient, accurate, and timely completion of projects
Develop and manage the research budget
Guide the professional development of an Insights Manager and collaborate with a range of cross-functional partners including R&D, IT, Design, Sales, Finance, Strategy, etc. to develop and commercialize innovation
Minimum 8 years of experience as a consumer research professional
Experience in setting and leading insights agendas, deep expertise in research methodologies (quantitative and qualitative), and possesses the ability to apply research to address business challenges
Expertise in data analytics is a plus
Ability to translate consumer understanding to insight; bias for action
Strong influencing, communication and storytelling skills
Strong strategic thinking and creative problem solving
Collaboration / teamwork skills; experience in matrix environment(s)
Excellent project and budget management skills
Bachelor's Degree required; Advanced Degree preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
