The Marketing Insights Manager at Shoals Technology Group, a leading provider of electrical balance of systems for the energy transition market, plays a pivotal role in driving strategic decision-making through comprehensive analysis of the voice of the customer, competitive intelligence, and market research. This role requires a deep understanding of the clean energy industry, as well as strong analytical skills and a keen ability to translate data into actionable insights.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Voice of Customer Analysis:
Lead efforts to gather, analyze, and interpret customer feedback and insights through various channels, including surveys (NPS, CSAT), interviews, and feedback forums.
Identify trends, preferences, and pain points among customers to inform product development, marketing strategies, and customer experience enhancements.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product teams to integrate customer feedback into product roadmap planning and development processes.
Competitive Intelligence:
Monitor and analyze competitor activities, market trends, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities or competitive threats.
Conduct regular competitive assessments and benchmarking to inform positioning strategies, pricing decisions, and differentiation tactics.
Work with product marketing, sales, product management and engineering to develop battle cards for key competitors within Shoals business lines.
Market Research:
Design and execute market research initiatives, including market segmentation studies, customer segmentation analysis, and market sizing exercises.
Utilize qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to uncover market insights, customer behaviors, and emerging trends for Shoals expansion opportunities.
Develop comprehensive reports with actionable insights to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with sales, product management, and other internal teams to align insights-driven strategies and initiatives with overall business objectives.
Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across the organization.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, or marketing analytics, preferably in the B2B clean energy or related industry.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., Excel, Salesforce, Tableau).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
Proven track record of driving business results through insights-driven strategies and initiatives.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
