POSITION PURPOSE and OVERVIEW

  • Directs the Lumenis marketing functions for the Vision division of the Americas region. In partnership with the VP of Marketing, this role owns the upstream and downstream strategy and implementation to drive the Vision sales and program growth for the region.

  • Advises the VP of Marketing and VP of Sales on matters related to business performance, strategy for market development, program implementation and all marketing-related concerns.

  • Drives continued double-digit growth in the Americas region by leveraging social and digital media to raise awareness of Lumenis and support marketing initiatives, product releases and company successes.

  • Partners with marketing team and clinical trainers to develop and integrate general market strategies to achieve business unit objectives and maximize sale effectiveness in the region.

  • Develops short and long-term business plans for the region. Advises the VP of Marketing on issues related to market characteristics and trends, evolving competitive activities and tactics, program effectiveness, product positioning and other issues.

  • Partners with sales leadership to communicate marketing strategies and develop sales programs to achieve desired results.

  • Interfaces with the Vision Business Unit management to exchange ideas and share resources to maximize results.

  • Provides day to day management of performance factors and responsible for coordinating activities with other marketing functions, as well as other departments and divisions as required.

NATURE AND SCOPE

  • This position is responsible for directing the development and implementation of Lumenis Americas regional marketing strategy.

  • Product and market diversity, intense competitive pressures, dynamic environmental factors and changing internal strategies, capabilities and business objectives requires this individual to apply sound overall business management skills in order to achieve objectives.

  • Assures marketing and sales effectiveness to support customers and internal (primarily sales, product service, and product marketing) requirements. This position will manage all aspects of the regional marketing responsibility across the Americas market segments and product lines, including coordinating the activities of marketing resources and functional departments to assure program effectiveness and over-achievement of objectives.

  • Success in this role will require strong leadership skills coupled with effective communication skills and an adaptive interpersonal style.

  • Sound problem solving and decision-making abilities, creative and innovative thought processes, initiative, self-motivation and the ability to work effectively in teams are also essential traits required in this position.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills.

  • Very strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence required.

  • Possess excellent organizational, negotiation, and analytical skills.

  • Strong evidence of self-sufficiency creating and working a plan to drive revenue from assigned region.

  • Proven history of analyzing situations, employing creative and effective decision making to solve problems/achieve results.

  • Possess strong listening skills as demonstrated through the ability to ask secondary and tertiary probing questions.

  • Must maintain technical/product representation skills and knowledge base at or above an exemplary level.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in common PC applications, particularly within the full Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Extensive travel is required.

EXPERIENCE + EDUCATION

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred. Bachelor's degree in Business and/or Marketing or related discipline.

  • 5+ years of previous marketing experience in any industry is preferred.

  • Experience with startups/B2B is preferred

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • Ability to direct the development and implementation of all regional marketing strategies and programs for the Americas.

  • Proven success leveraging social media to drive awareness and measurable, results-facing business growth

  • Ability to direct the gathering, and evaluation of market research data to determine market potential/trends and customer dynamics.

  • Ability to lead, recruit, develop, and manage the performance of the Americas' Vision regional marketing staff.

  • Ability to develop and manage all facets of the Americas regional marketing budget.
