We are seeking a Marketing Director someone who is a highly motivated strategic thinker and wellness junkie dedicated to overseeing all aspects of the Lord Jones marketing initiatives. In this role, you will lead product strategy and marketing across all consumer touchpoints. As a resolute brand builder and business driver, you will take charge of the product pipeline and propel brand activation strategy and retail partnerships.


Product Marketing

  • Articulate vision for innovation across beauty, ingestible, edible, CBD and THC.

  • Strategize and develop both long-term and short-term assortment strategy. Focus on core product innovation while creating fast track pipeline.

  • Develop robust new product development process incorporating consumer insights, consumer feedback, competitive dynamics, retailer feedback and quantitative insights. Lead product brief creation & process. Co-validate product formulas in partnership with product development head.

  • Own consumer insights to uncover awareness, usage and need states that inform and help optimize innovation and communication plans.

  • Own product claims, benefits and features to ensure differentiation and compliance with regulations across geographies.

  • Develop and execute key brand partnerships including co-branded products, event activations and influencer relationships.

Go-to-Market Trade Marketing

  • Lead a "digital/social first" minded team to develop and manage assortment, marketing & social media plans, planning forecast, visual merchandising to create best-in-class omni-channel experience.

  • Partner w/ digital team to develop consumer acquisition and retention marketing programs to minimize CPA and maximize LTV.

  • Own pricing strategy, assortment mix, COGs and advertising/promotional spend.

  • Develop and refine product forecasting in partnership with operations, finance, supply chain and key retailers.

  • Execute go-to-market programs in partnership with sales and retailer such as merchandising, sampling, education, events and other activations.

  • Lead retailer market and strategy meetings to maximize sell-in and exposure.

Creative and Content Execution

  • Lead team to craft powerful storytelling and positioning in partnership with creative, founders, product development, PR, sales and digital marketing.

  • Develop content pillars and tactical plan to support ownable and compelling storytelling at the brand and product level.

  • Partner with retailer education teams to customize educational content across multiple venues: e-learning, in-store training and experiential learning.

Marketing Calendar

  • Develop weekly campaign calendar to drive superior brand engagement.

  • Lead and execute seasonal programs including programs to "win at holiday."

  • Proactively develop campaigns and programs to drive comp growth.


  • Develop robust model to analyze performance of products/campaigns/launches.

  • Unlock market and product insights based on quantitative and qualitative information, uncovering emerging trends that inform future product development and brand communication. Develop test & learn agenda.

  • Create data-driven results feedback mechanism to communicate results, insights and future tests to cross-functional partners in creative, marketing and digital.


  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.

  • 4+ years of CPG experience and passion for wellness a must.

  • 8+ years of brand/marketing experience.

  • Strong strategic, creative, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.

  • Thrives in an environment that is fast-paced, rapidly changing and customer-service oriented.

  • Able to effectively present and advocate for ideas with senior management and retailers.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong customer focus and highly analytical; able to translate learnings into action.

  • Team player, able to build strong partnerships with sales, marketing, creative, retail partners and supply chain as well as outside partners.

  • Highest levels of professionalism at all times; calm under pressure.
