Overview

The Marketing Director will develop and implement the integrated marketing strategy for our B2C and B2B brand portfolio driving lead generation and brand awareness. They are a strategic leader, customer- centric and business savvy, able to analyze data/research to pull through true insights and write effective briefs and marketing plans that meet business objectives and deliver results. The Marketing Director plays a highly visible role in the organization, responsible for optimizing marketing investments, building brand equity, and leading cross functional marketing initiatives.The ideal candidate wears two hats strategic and transactional. They are able to scale up to inspire and motivate their team and agency partners while communicating clear direction, and scale down to the details while juggling multiple projects and day-to-day execution. Responsibilities include Media, Creative, Brand, and Retail Marketing.

Responsibilities

TEAM LEADER

  • Coaches and builds a cohesive and productive marketing team that seamlessly works together to deliver on objectives and produce quality recommendations

  • Fosters an open environment that encourages curiosity, intelligent risk-taking and innovation

  • Stays ahead of business results, industry trends and the changing competitive landscape

BRAND

  • Drives customers through the brand funnel by planning and developing a Marketing Planning Calendar and Communication strategy that encourages conversion, and reinforces our mission and brand positioning

  • Brand champion ensuring brand visual identity and consistency across all vehicles and channels

Partners with Retail, Digital, Sales, and Customer Service teams to bring the brand experience to life at every customer touchpoint

MEDIA

  • Oversees Media Buying and Planning, developing a holistic media strategy that best reaches our target segments, delivers on business objectives, and ensures alignment with cross functional teams for planning and implementation

  • Direct responsibility for all mass media including TV, Radio, OOH, and Digital acquisition tactics

  • Analyzes the ROI for marketing initiatives and campaigns, evaluating performance and refining existing plans

  • Manages the marketing budget on an on-going basis ensuring compliance and communicating changes

CREATIVE

  • Manages the Creative Team and process from brief to development to execution, inclusive of English and Spanish language creative, B2C and B2B

  • Inspires compelling content that is clear, memorable and differentiated, aligning with our Brand Voice

  • Prioritizes work and ensures timely delivery of all projects

RETAIL MARKETING

  • Accountable for Retail marketing initiatives comprised of franchise, new store openings and store visual signage

  • Partners with Retail Operations for alignment and communication of all marketing activity to ensure seamless execution of associate and customer experience

  • Analyzes and identifies local market opportunities to meet business goals and support our Retail partners

Qualifications

Skills/ Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field

  • 10+ years of Marketing experience

  • Experienced Marketing Director preferred

  • Experience in Retail or Optical Industry preferred

  • Understanding of media planning principals

  • Successfully led agency partnerships

  • Proven track record moving projects and ideas forward, especially in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to deliver executive summary presentations

  • Experience leading and inspiring a passionate team with diverse expertise

Minimum Requirements:

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in uncharted spaces, creating your own path and footprint

  • Ability to align and influence multiple stakeholders for a common goal, always leading with a customer-first mindset

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to tell a compelling story

  • Exceptional strategic and analytical skills

  • Financial acumen

  • Comfortable managing change with ability to adjust and shift priorities as the business demands

This position directly supervises 2 in-based and 4 out-based employees. This is an in-based position that is located at our fabulous Lake Worth headquarters. This role also includes many evening and weekend hours in excess of 40 hours per week. Who are we seeking? * A candidate with a minimum of 3 years of previous experience effectively supervising staff members; supervisory experience must include management of out-based staff members. * A dynamic individual who has previous demonstrated experience in the development (i.e. creation) and management of an event budget, annual multi-function budget (e.g. department with multiple employees or multiple departments). * Someone with demonstrated experience with planning and management of large scale events or activities for groups of at least 200 participants. * A candidate with demonstrated experience in the recruitment, management, training, motivation and retention of adult volunteers, who hold responsibilities for key organizational deliverables. * Someone with previous demonstrated experience working with the implementation/fulfillment of grants and grant reporting. * An individual with previous demonstrated experience working with, and engaging new, potential partners or collaborators, that further advance the organization's mission, strategy or goals. * A candidate with previous demonstrated experience working in the areas (or with professionals) on marketing and promotion, in order to achieve a participation or budget-related goal. What else will you need? * Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience. * Minimum of three years demonstrated supervisory staff experience. * Demonstrated supervisory experience of out-based staff. * A self-starter that demonstrates initiative and flexibility. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
