We have the following exciting opportunity in our Santa Monica, CA location.
Marketing Director, KTE-X19, Oncology Promotions
The Director, Oncology Promotions, will report directly to the Sr. Director of Marketing for the Cell Therapy business unit. The successful candidate will be a key contributor on the US Marketing team overseeing promotions of Kite's Cell Therapy in Mantle Cell Lymphoma (MCL) with an asset (KTE-X19) currently in Phase 2 development with Breakthrough Therapy designation (BTD). The Director of Oncology Promotions will be responsible for strategically leading both physician and patient promotional efforts and helping to set the short term & long-term vision for Kite's Cell Therapy in MCL. The Director will maintain appropriate procedures, systems, metrics and infrastructures to support our promotional efforts.
Essential Duties and Job Functions:
Significantly contribute to US commercial launch for a Phase 2 Oncology cell therapy in MCL
Distill key world-wide market research findings to derive insights that support the US Commercial launch plan and the positioning
Lead development and execution of branded and unbranded HCP as well as Patients promotional portfolio
Launch US promotional speaker bureau for KTE-X19 in MCL
Leverages market research and analytics to optimize brand strategies and marketing tactics.
Lead execution of KTE-X19 MCL presence at key medical meetings (ASCO & ASH)
KTE-X19 MCL Marketing lead for the planning and execution of sales meetings in collaboration with field sales and training
Lead Promotion Review Committee (PRC) process to ensure marketing materials are cleared for promotional use and secures final production.
Creative agency of record management (staffing and budget).
Manage promotional cost center budget coordinating with team members as appropriate.
Ensures that all marketing activities are in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
10+ years of relevant marketing or related healthcare experience required; heme/oncology highly preferred
A Bachelor's degree in marketing or related fields is required.
An advanced science degree such as MD, PharmD, PhD or an advanced business degree such as an MBA is desirable.
Cell Therapy experience is desirable
Advanced experience with product lifecycle management is desirable.
Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams or work groups.
Strong strategic thinker with ability to formulate, develop and execute strategy
Intellectually curious with the ability to process a great deal of information in a fast paced environment
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to lead, interact with, focus, resolve conflict and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of cultures and disciplines.
Strong team player and motivated individual contributor
Results oriented with sense of urgency.
Excellent communications skills with an ability to efficiently and productively communicate both orally and in writing.
