The Marketing Director develops and implements strategies that demonstrate a clear understanding of our values and constantly strive to better serve our brand, programs, members and community.

  • Successfully drive marketing strategies from initiation to completion, including campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR

  • Monitor progress and submit regular performance dashboards

  • Develop and manage marketing budgets to ensure effective use of resources

  • Work with vendors to ensure quality and timeliness of production while negotiating best prices

  • Manage marketing team and projects/processes increasing efficacy and delivering fresh ideas and creative

  • Work collaboratively with department heads to strategize and implement best marketing mix within budget constraints

  • Ensure timely production and delivery of materials and media whose effectiveness may be systematically measured

  • Source all production of materials; e.g., direct mail, brochures, and banners

  • Capitalize on technology to best manage audience reach

  • Oversee all eblasts, social media, and video strategies

  • Optimize internet presence strengthening program and audience engagement. Ensure web is dynamic with easy to access programs and registration and content drives relevant readership.

  • Utilize database management to best manage audience segments

  • Oversee public relations efforts increasing community awareness of JCC brand and programs

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in marketing management

  • Master's degree in Marketing or related field preferred.

  • Track record of creating and implementing creative and effective marketing communication strategies

  • The ability to problem-solve and find multiple design solutions under tight time and financial constraints

  • The ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse personalities and teams of marketing and non-marketing professionals

  • Strong analytical and project management skills

  • Strong interpersonal, public speaking, and written and communications skills

The Associate Directors primary responsibilities include: 1) Develop the vision, goals, strategies and tactics for the marketing team to achieve business objectives (Commercial Business Plan), 2) Hire, train and ensure Product Managers are executing the Commercial Business Plan, 3) Overcome major problems and manage roadblocks, 4) provide management reports and updates on progress of achieving the Commercial Business Plan. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Responsible for establishing marketing vision, strategies and messaging which differentiates Nihon Kohden products and service offered in the US market. Defines market requirements, product mapping and new product additions and changes based on market intelligence. Directs overall product launches. Creates short and long-term product plans which may include business plans, ROI analysis, pricing and forecasting. Monitors and analyzes market trends and external forces and defines strategy for business growth. Identify requirements and manage market research and customer feedback to develop strategies and tactics for the Patient Monitoring & Accessories business. Lead the creation of the annual Commercial Business Plan which outlines the vision, goals, strategies and tactics to achieve the business objectives. Ensure alignment across the organization with leadership and support organization. Measure the success of strategies with corresponding KPIs and manage results accordingly. Provide direction to Product Managers on the execution of the commercial business plan including: 1) the launch of new products, 2) development of value propositions and messaging, 3) communicate key selling messages, and 4) develop and execute clinical strategy to differentiate company products. Hire and train Product Manager(s). Provide coaching and development to broaden their skills and experiences. Motivate Product Manager(s)to achieve high levels of performance, while creating a positive team culture. Develop and execute product promotion plan. Work closely with leaders of Sales Organization to ensure strong collaboration on the execution of the Commercial Business plan, including the launch of new products, programs, promotions, target account execution and other business initiatives. Identify requirements and manage market research and customer feedback to develop strategies and tactics to drive the patient Monitoring & Accessories business. Provide voice of customer (VOC) to Upstream Marketing Team for product development including quantifying and prioritizing customer needs. Interface with Upstream Marketing and NKC Tokyo and other business centers to provide relevant and updated market information as necessary. Identify and maintain relationships with HCP experts within the medical community, following compliance guidelines. Define strategic relationships as they apply to meeting sales and marketing objectives. Identify clinical study requirements based on business objectives and evaluate study proposals Work closely with Senior Leadership to communicate business results and updates on key initiatives. Develop and present business results during monthly and quarterly business review meetings. Work closely with the supply chain organization to ensure a high quality of service for customers. Support marketing, sales and support through leading the development and maintenance of various technical marketing collateral including Marketing Bulletins, FAQs, field training presentations, online marketing content and demos. Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses, feature sets, underlying technology, product workflow, usability, etc. to establish technical differentiation and feature/benefit statements Manage the complete product life cycle for assigned product lines, including introduction of new products, promotion of existing products and discontinuation of mature/declining products. Solicit customer, prospect and partner input to understand market challenges and requirements Provide leadership, managerial direction, career development guidance, etc. to the downstream marketing team. Ensure their efforts are aligned with the larger strategy and their impact is measured and tracked. Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes. Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelors Degree in Business, science, or other related discipline or equivalent experience and education. Advanced degree in business (MBA) or healthcare preferred REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Strong technical knowledge of medical devices and operational parameters Understanding of hospital environments, conditions, and patient care needs Knowledge of related computer applications EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum of 7 years marketing/product manager experience in medical device. Downstream marketing experience required. Previous sales or clinical experience a plus SKILLS/ABILITIES: Excellent planning and organizational skills. Ability to develop and execute business strategy by directing team and resources. Ability to clearly communicate business strategies and results to senior management Excellent interpersonal, communication and group presentation skills including interactions with sales and senior customer personnel.
