Position Summary:

The Marketing Director is the leader for the widely varying marketing duties related to the successful performance of Donan and its affiliates. The individual is responsible for a wide array of key functions including the development and implementation of the brand strategy, developing marketing strategies for new and existing products and services, and work closely with our sales organization to ensure alignment and results. This senior leader serves as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), and interacts frequently with peers in sales, operations, accounting, and human resources, to ensure that collateral and other communications accurately reflect the company brand, mission, vision, and values. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelors Degree required, various disciplines will be considered along with relevant experience.

  • Advanced degrees and/or professional certifications such as an MBA are highly preferred, but not required.

  • Minimum of 5years of hands on experience working with strategic marketing activities in a corporate environment is highly preferred.

  • Minimum of 2years supervisory experience is required.

  • Experience with marketing automation in the Salesforce echo system including previous experience with Pardot is highly preferred.

  • Sound understanding of marketing principles with ability for continuous improvement.

  • Must be extremely confident when communicating directly with employees of the company, customers, vendors, etc.

  • Must be comfortable and willing to interact with employees in the field.

  • Highly flexible and adapts well to a rapidly changing environment.

  • Deadline oriented with the ability to handle pressure and consistently meet deadlines.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong value system (e.g., integrity, honesty)

  • Effective project management skills.

  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule and travel up to 20%.

  • Possesses and demonstrates strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

  • Must have the ability to prepare and lead professional presentations to large audiences.

  • Willing to take initiative, ownership, and risk.

  • Must be highly self-motivated.

  • Must be dependable and reliable with a proven history of leading by example.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Development of marketing strategies and campaigns across all channels and markets, in addition to overseeing marketing execution. This includes, but is not limited to campaigns, events, digital marketing, and public relations.

  • Development and implementation of the Brand Strategy.

  • Working very closely with the companys sales team; enabling them to meet their goals and objectives by providing them with the appropriate tools, materials, presentations, etc.

  • Budgeting and optimization of marketing spends across all channels to maximize return on investment and achieve brand awareness, sales and profitability goals.

  • Analysis of all marketing efforts, and related strategies through analytical models.

  • Develop and implement customer feedback mechanisms to gain key insights and to drive demand through related efforts.

  • Guiding the day to day management and leadership of the marketing team including coaching, training, mentoring, performance management, etc.

  • Maintains relations with customers by organizing and developing specific customer relations programs; determining company presence at conventions, conferences, trade associations, etc.

  • Partner with internal and external teams to effectively meet goals and spearhead the development of broad scale marketing initiatives.

  • Conducts customer, brand and product research initiatives on an on-going basis. Management of external resources including various agencies and vendors.

  • Managing Donans social media presence to improve social media reputation and recognition.

  • Stay current on market, competition, and treads including analyzing current marketing tactics, concepts, practices and procedures.

  • Identify, own, and champion projects that will have brand and business impacts.

  • Own the operationalizing of the Donan brand internally and the communication of the brand to the organization.

  • Developing and delivering marketing and communications strategies for the organization.

  • Develops new uses for existing products and services by acquiring and analyzing data; consulting with internal and external resources; researching clients to understand their future strategies and directions.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.
