We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures. You will focus on learning how our organization runs, and can be expected to gain valuable insight that can further your interest in your chosen career field.

Summary of Internship

The Channel Marketing Internship position provides an opportunity for students with marketing or life science-related degrees to get hands on experience working with marketing teams in a fast-paced environment with broad visibility to overall business functions. The marketing intern will assist in marketing process improvement and content development. The position starts in early June, paid working 40 hours per week through September.

Opportunity may exist for this position to continue through the academic year.

Essential Functions

  • Developing on-going process improvements for internal cross reference project by collecting and maintaining cross reference data files and deploying necessary content to distribution and internal teams as needed

  • Working with Channel Marketing to aid in the deployment of key marketing content

  • Learning brand standards as well as marketing collateral best practices

  • Serve as a "sounding board" to audit channel content created for audiences with little/no life science background

  • Any other programs/projects as needed

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team

  • Willingness to learn, be mentored, and improve

  • Exceptional customer-first focus

  • Microsoft Office program experience, including Microsoft Office, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel

Qualifications

  • Student currently enrolled in classes leading to a degree in Marketing or life science-related field

  • Basic life science knowledge/background preferred

What will you do? * Leads the development and delivery of holistic search marketing, processes, and technology, guided by reporting and a thorough ROI analysis across the entire sales funnel. * Partner with programmatic display lead and drive implementation of campaigns, engaging our customers during their journey through the sales funnel. * Collaborate with other digital team members to develop, execute and measure integrated digital marketing campaigns, aligned with business partner goals and KPIs. * Responsibilities split by channel: 80% paid search, 15% programmatic display, 5% SEO. * As a thought leader in paid search, you will be required to test, prove and implement new strategies and technologies, as well as influence the wider corporate marketing organization to adopt and deploy emerging digital marketing tactics and technologies. * Ensure monthly and quarterly budgets are fully spent and optimized to deliver high performance while recommending a budget distribution to continuously improve performance. * Contribute new ideas to the team as part of our Digital Marketing think tank, share and collaborate ideas with other like-minded people in similar roles to create a best in class digital marketing strategy. * Stay up to date with the digital marketing industry and trends. How will you get here? Education * Bachelor's Degree Experience * 3-5 years of experience in B2C or B2B customer-driven digital marketing, advertising, or eCommerce. * Advanced understanding of SEM using Google Ads, Bing Ads or other paid search engines. * Advanced experience with bid management platforms (e.g. Adobe Media Optimizer, Kenshoo, Marin or DoubleClick). * Experience managing and optimizing programmatic display within a DSP or ad exchange (e.g. Adobe Ad Cloud, Sizmek). * A solid understanding of SEO best practices, optimization techniques, and tools (e.g. Moz, SEMRush, Conductor). * Proven track record of creating, optimizing and reinventing campaigns to constantly improve results. * Strong Excel skills, ability to manage and update campaigns via bulk upload process. * Experience with analytics tools (e.g. PowerBI, Adobe Analytics). * Experience managing multiple strategic clients including ownership and oversight of large budgets. * Experience with DMP management, including 1st party, 2nd party and 3rd party data is a plus. * 5-10% travel Knowledge, Skills, Abilities * Excellent communication skills and ability to present to business partners on a regular basis. * Strong time management, organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
