Wor-Wic Community College is accepting applications for a marketing coordinator to use layout and graphic design applications for publications, advertisements and other marketing projects; coordinate the production of printed marketing materials; and provide back-up photography services. This position may be required to work during the annual commencement.The following list is not intended as, nor should it be construed as, exhaustive of all responsibilities, skills or working conditions associated with this position.
Conceptualizes designs and layouts; formats text, photos and other artistic elements into layout and graphic design programs for publications, advertisements, social media, digital signage, PowerPoint presentations and promotional items; ensures that publications conform to college design standards; completes pre-press preparations before submission to external print vendors; and coordinates social events
Manages print production processes, including the determination of departmental printing priorities, coordination of production schedules and maintenance of the inventory of printed marketing materials; evaluates college-wide usage to determine ordering quantities; creates and releases requests for quotations (RFQs) and specifications to outside vendors that provide printing and mailing services; evaluates vendor quotes received and recommends vendor selection; ensures the timely delivery of printed materials; and evaluates vendor performance regarding quantity and quality before approving payment
Provides back-up photography services
Writes, proofreads and/or updates content for various printing projects
Contributes to the annual and five-year comprehensive department assessment process as per the college assessment plan
Performs other duties as assigned
Associate degree in graphic design, photography, communication arts or a relevant field
Four years of relevant work experience with Adobe InDesign/QuarkXPress, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop in a Macintosh environment
Knowledge of pre-press and printing production processes
Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and other MS Office applications
Valid driver's license
Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor's degree
This is a full-time standard administrative position. Days and hours of work are Mon.
Fri., 8 a.m.
4:30 p.m. (1 hour lunch). This position may be required to work during the annual commencement.
