Assist the director of campaign strategy to ensure completion of projects within time and budgetary limitations. Use organizational skills to work on multiple projects simultaneously with accuracy and speed; exercise judgment to prioritize assignments when multiple deadlines approach. Provide a broad range of marketing and communications support to advance student recruitment and strengthen the brand.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree with marketing, communications, business or other applicable areas of study. Three to five years of experience in a marketing, communications or public relations area.
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience writing, editing and using a project management system, such as Basecamp. Proven ability to contribute to marketing strategy, tactics and reporting. Think creatively and organize tasks. Comfortable collaborating in a team environment, but also can work independently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordination and support of marketing projects and media campaigns.
Light writing and editing.
Detail-oriented fact-checking.
Creating reports (project logs, media analytics, rankings).
Researching and estimating project costs for feasibility.
Inputting and coordinating projects in the project management system.
Acting as a liaison between the campus client and the marketing staff to complete projects in a timely manner.
Assisting in marketing the University to external audiences that include prospective students, donors, alumni, and the general public.
Ability to quickly pivot to different projects based on priorities and deadlines.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Activities Working Conditions Additional Information
Remote Notice: After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. May be required to use personal computer and other standard office equipment. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
