Marketing Coordinator

The George Mason University Office of Integrated Enrollment Marketing invites applications for a Marketing Coordinator. Integrated Enrollment Marketing (IEM) strives to create, maintain, execute and assess marketing and communications plans to support and enhance the recruitment, admission, and enrollment of new students to the university.

Responsibilities:

The Marketing Coordinator supports the IEM office by developing content, building emails within the office CRM, serving as liaison to academic units, acting as project manager for all print materials, and managing social media accounts. The Marketing Coordinator will serve as the point of contact for the department with vendors outside of the university in regards to creative, print production, and project management tools. The Coordinator supports team projects by serving as the IEM liaison to several colleges across the university. The Marketing Coordinator will supervise one part-time employee and several student interns to oversee the production of IEM print and graphic design materials. As the social media manager, the Marketing Coordinator will plan and execute social media campaigns to support the strategic goals and objectives of the Enrollment Division across all admissions platforms.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, marketing, communications, public relations, or related concentration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience;

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, make quick judgment decisions, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines;

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and confidant communicator with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community, including senior-level administrators;

  • Excellent writing and editing skills;

  • Social Media management experience;

  • Keen attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated high degree of independence and initiative;

  • Ability to work autonomously, collaboratively on a team;

  • High level of creativity and latitude;

  • Experience working with Adobe Suite; and

  • Experience working within a CRM.
