Looking for an entry level marketing role at an energetic & passionate company? Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman, a Bethesda, MD CPA Firm is in search of a Marketing Coordinator to join our team.

Summary of Position:

The Marketing Coordinator assists the Marketing Team with entry-level professional and administrative support. This individual applies his or her prior work or internship experience to assist with tasks that support ongoing marketing campaigns, business development efforts and internal projects. The Marketing Coordinator takes the initiative to build his or her understanding of the nonprofit industry and the clients the firm serves, as well as the firms strategic plans and business objectives.

Essential
Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops basic new business proposals and provides proofreading for others as needed
  • Proactively maintains all Marketing Department data including updates, new data and list generation to support the firms external communications
  • Provides professional research on client and prospects as needed to support marketing communications and business development activities
  • Offers event logistical support for webinars, firm hosted events and industry conferences and attends as needed to provide staffing support
  • Provides document support and graphic design which includes formatting PowerPoint presentations, sell sheets, advertisements, trade show collateral and other projects as needed
  • Processes sponsorship and vendor invoices and updates the Marketing budget
  • Orders and maintains an inventory of giveaway items for external events
  • Develops and publishes the firms monthly internal newsletter working across departments. Serves as the firms photographer and attends all firm-wide events to document activities for the internal newsletter as well as social media and the website

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field
  • 1-3 years of combined marketing and administrative experience
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working understanding or willingness to learn Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
  • Graphic design experience is a plus
  • Strong writing and analytical skills for development of effective copy related to advertisements, website updates, social media and marketing collateral
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and timelines
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Event, communications and project coordination experience

Working conditions:

  • Candidates must be able to provide their own transportation to and from off-site events with materials as needed

VIEW JOBS 4/15/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-14T00:00 Marketing Project Coordinator Bethesda, MD USA In the role of Marketing Project Coordinator, you will work closely with multiple departments including but not limited to, the creative/production, New Store, Construction, Events, Facilities and the merchandising teams to gather project assets, schedule briefings and reviews, gain approvals, and discuss timelines and budgets. The project coordinator will be the keeper of all project details to ensure that requirements, project deliverables and deadlines are clearly communicated, understood and expertly executed by all involved. You will need to proactively identify issues or opportunities to deliver solutions and improvements. In addition, you will need to have demonstrated ability to support and understand the inner-workings of different teams and departments, work well with others, and be able to keep all team members goal focused. The Project Specialist will communicate and document project status and strategic recommendations to team members and senior management on a regular basis. You will help support the growing in-store promotional and institutional signage workflow by distributing jobs, trafficking assets, routing approvals, organizing creative concept and approval meetings and overseeing resources, in addition to vendor management and invoice processing. This position will also monitor and respond to all store requests, questions and issues regarding signage as they come in via email or via company intranet. This position reports to the Marketing Operations Manager – Special Projects & Signage. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Strong understanding of project timeline with the ability to craft and manage schedules and resource plans, adapting as necessary * Coordination of signage materials including setting up project briefs, issuing work orders, obtaining vendor bids, coordinating with all departments to assure delivery on time of all projects and signage campaigns * Acquiring assets and distribution of work to production and design teams. * Ability to interact with external vendors and help to manage store teams' expectations ensuring deliverables are met * Attends interdepartmental briefings * Updates signage production timelines/estimates as needed * Routes mechanicals/proofs to team members to review * Strong customer service skills with ability to respond to all store requests, problems and questions regarding store signage * Process monthly vendor invoices for associated projects JOB REQUIREMENTS Experience, Skills and Education: * BA/BS degree and/or 2-3 years of directly related experience in retail advertising production, trafficking or project management. * 2-3+ years' experience in marketing/advertising project management and/or trafficking * Retail background and PMP certification a strong plus * Previous customer service or customer relations experience a must * Must be deadline oriented, exhibit strong attention to detail and accuracy and have excellent multi-tasking abilities. Proven, exceptional organizational skills a must. * Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, PowerPoint & Excel/familiarity with functional knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator a plus. * Ability to take initiative, think creatively and work collaboratively. * Ability to build effective relationships with business partners. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written. * Ability to deal successfully with complexities of a rapidly expanding organization. * Must be able to exercise independent judgment and decision-making skills. * Ability to work in a fast paced, hands on, deadline driven environment.
