JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision creates and executes casino promotions and special events; assists with internal communications regarding promotions and special events; tracks competitor operations; meets with vendors and media representatives; analyzes casino/player business and completes reports; and performs other duties as required.

Essential Functions: (This job specification may not include all the duties listed, nor do the examples cover all the duties that may be performed.)

Create and execute casino/player promotions by conceiving themes, developing rules and regulations for play, producing/obtaining/placing artwork, generating communications to internal staff and external media and participating in the implementation in order to successfully advertise casino events and promotions.

Assist with promotional communications for the Carson Nugget, both internally and externally, by issuing staff memoranda regarding promotions and special events, updating the casino's Quick Reference Guide, posting internal signage and creating/disseminating press releases to media outlets in order to successfully advertise casino events and promotions.

Assist with coordination of special events for the Carson Nugget players, i.e. VIP slot tournaments, Bingo, VIP socials, etc.

Liaise with outside community and non-profit organizations for which the Nugget provides sponsorship by meeting with representatives in order to facilitate support, monetary and in-kind donations.

Represent the Carson Nugget by meeting with vendors, media representatives in order to produce marketing campaigns, promotions, special and other events.

Track and analyze various marketing data such as revenues generated, guest play and other indicators in order to create reports which evaluate and provide information on the success of specific promotions and special events.

Track and analyze the effectiveness of competitors' marketing campaigns, promotions, advertising and other aspects of their business in order to determine profitability and success.

Respond to guests' questions, using the Golden Touch customer service model, providing information about casino gaming promotions, special and other events and/or programs procedures outlined in the Quick Reference Guide in order to assist guests, advertise marketing campaigns and encourage guest attendance and participation.

This role provides direct support to the Nevada market management & operational leadership and provides a wide cast net to the team. Responsibilities * Assist management with ongoing projects as assigned, balancing short and long-term deadlines * Extremely strong organizational skills while being proactive and maintaining a high level of accuracy at all times * Answers phone calls and take detailed messages- naturally friendly, outgoing, confident, extroverted * Ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office * Maintain office files: receiving, vendors (list is not all inclusive) * Welcome our guests, sign them in/out, escort them into conference rooms- has an instinctually hospitable nature * Create detailed, accurate calendar appointments for management and internal meetings on shared calendars * Perform daily, weekly and monthly security checklists * Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms * Maintain supply inventory and keep all areas stocked on a regular basis (paper goods, printing areas, groceries, restrooms and dry storage) * Keep common areas clean and tidy, including reception, meeting rooms, and kitchen * Maintain various logs: missed punches, vehicle maintenance, training, security equipment (list not all inclusive) * Facilitate group lunch set-up and light trash removal * Errands as deemed necessary * Embodies an instinct to keep everything organized and running smoothly * Sign for, schedule and accept deliveries, ensure accuracy of orders * Light data entry and proofreading/polishing internal and external documents * Creation of Power Points and/ or reports for distribution * Provide general support to visitors and act as the point of contact for internal and external clients * Submit and reconcile expenses to include blue bird reports and petty cash * Any other task as assigned Qualifications * 1- 2 years' experience in an administrative role * Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills * Capacity to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment * Proven ability to work within a team environment and support colleagues * Hospitality experience is a plus * Understands and complies with the rules,regulations,policies,and procedures of GTI * Demonstrates ability to self-motivate and innovate * Ability to use initiative and independent judgment appropriately while not overstepping chain of command * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all employees * Basic math & collaboration skills, problem solving/analysis, decision making, communication & teamwork proficiency, discretion * Organizational & presentation skills, leadership * Understanding & adhering to applicable state and regulations as they pertain to the industry, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures * Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software, performance management, spreadsheet applications and email Additional Requirements * Must pass all required background checks * Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry * Must be a minimum of 21 years of age * Must be approved by the MMCC to receive an Agent badge Working Conditions * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions * Physical demands – May be required to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
