As a copywriter, you are responsible for coming up with ideas and building stories that connect with advertisers and consumers beyond any single medium or format to demonstrate the power of audio, digital and events to multiple audiences. The copywriter plays a critical role in growing Entercom's brand externally and internally.
This role reports to the Director of Inbound Marketing and Client Loyalty in our Denver office and partner closely with team members out of our New York City and San Francisco offices.
The ideal candidate for this position has an editorial and marketing background, a proven track record of meeting deadlines and managing multiple, successful projects, and a passion for developing and creating great content.
Partner with our Executive Creative Director to build and maintain Entercom brand voice standards.
Collaborate with Director of Inbound Marketing and Client Loyalty on content calendar and distribution strategies.
Seek out and develop compelling brand stories across the organization including our music, sports, events, digital and executive divisions that fit within Entercom's overarching content strategy.
Interview employees, clients and industry experts and create well-written and engaging content from those interviews.
Generate various types of content, including written articles, ebooks, blogs, whitepapers, print and digital campaigns, and more to demonstrate thought leadership and true insights to current and prospective clients.
Create engaging and innovative copy for a variety of mediums.
Extend the life of content by finding ways to repurpose across multiple mediums and formats.
Contribute to over-arching editorial calendar and update schedule additions and changes.
Provide copywriting support for other Entercom projects as needed (ie. Corporate website)
5+ years of related experience with an emphasis in writing, reporting, editing and content production for external audiences.
Proven ability to develop/maintain strong relationships with internal teams and clients.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and to adjust to rapidly changing business priorities.
Must be friendly, motivated, organized, possess a strong work ethic and be a self-starter, with the ability to work independently.
Passionate about media, marketing, promotions, and audience management.
Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or English.
Experience in the media industry is a plus.
A portfolio with a range of work that demonstrates you ability to write clearly, effectively and creatively.
An analytical mind that can articulate an argument and adjust its presentation depending on its audience.
