Position Summary:

The Marketing Communications Specialist will manage the ongoing development and execution of various communication strategies and projects. The communication channels we employ at TEL include: marketing automation, web, social media, video, collateral (catalogs, brochures, datasheets, articles, white papers, and case studies), print and digital media, trade shows and events. This position will play a key role in supporting day to day marketing activities including internal and external communication, social media, event logistics, writing, copy editing, web page creation and maintenance, general administrative tasks and project management.

The successful candidate must have a demonstrable record of accomplishments in high-value B2B marketing. They must create industry-leading communications strategies for a diverse set of business units, and execute plans on tight deadlines. The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate exceptional creativity and attention to detail as well as strong organizational and writing skills. This person will need to work with the other Marketing Communications Specialists, Project Managers, as well as the entire Global Marketing Communications team to create and maintain the integrity of the communications process, and support the overall goals set by the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and implement messaging for promotion of product awareness, business plans, and management communications while partnering with management, business units, or sales to leverage message

  • Create formal business communications and guide the MarCom team with writing, reviewing, and editing a variety of marketing materials including press releases, new pitches, blogs, social media posts, conferences and special events, and corporate communication materials

  • Grow social media accounts for global TEL brand, including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn by creating content and manage publishing and reporting analytics to TEL corporate

  • Co-develop and support the implementation of strategic MarCom programs to increase brand visibility, public relations, related business objectives and protection of the corporate brand

  • Design and implement measurements to analyze messaging program effectiveness and quantify revenue generated from executed programs

  • Work with outside agencies to build and execute a media strategy as needed

  • Develop, enhance, or revise marketing collateral for web, print, or other media channels

  • Participate in media placement decisions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree ,preferably in one of the following areas: marketing, marketing communications, or business administration

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a marketing communications department and/or agency with proven project management responsibilities

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the pros and cons of various integrated marketing vehicles including SEO/SEM, web marketing, video, social, email marketing, PR, tradeshows, and advertising (digital/print)

  • Excellent event management skills

  • Project management experience with proven instances of balancing multiple projects and a high workload

  • Superior organizational and writing skills, in both verbal and written forums with strong editing and proofing skills

  • Ability to rapidly absorb detailed product information and translate it into lay terms

  • Strong experience with applications, including but not limited to, HTML/CSS, Adobe CS(Photoshop, Illustrator), Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Wrike, MeltWater, Google Analytics; marketing automation experience a plus

  • Expert level experience with Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn

  • Ability to produce accurate and high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
