About Our Internship Program:

Lion Street's Pride Builders Program is a 10-week internship program focused on building critical skills and real-world experience necessary for a post-graduate career. Our interns will learn the ins and outs of the life insurance and wealth management industry while making meaningful contributions as you immerse yourself in our business and develop a supportive network. Our internship program is flexible with school hours but requires a minimum of 20 hours per week to keep up with projects.

About the role:

We are seeking a motivated Marketing & Communications Intern to join our team and assist in various marketing activities. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing, communications, and clerical tasks while contributing to the success of Lion Street.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Editing: Assist in making basic edits to marketing materials, including PowerPoint presentations, website content, and content sheets to ensure accuracy and consistency of our brand and language.

  • General Marketing Tasks: Collaborate with the marketing team to execute marketing initiatives, including social media management, content creation, email marketing, and data analysis.

  • Firm Maintenance: assisting with Marketing Communications to keep our CRM database up to date, maintain our firm logos, and updating firm contact sheets.

  • Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in ad hoc marketing projects as assigned by the marketing team, gaining valuable experience across various marketing disciplines.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

  • Proficiency in Adobe.

  • Basic understanding of website content management systems is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.

  • Ability to work onsite in our office located in Downtown Austin.
