Job Category Professionals - Other Position Marketing & Communications Coordinator Req Code 15496 Location Skagit Valley Hospital Job Summary The Marketing & Communications Coordinator develops, implements and manages a coordinated approach to internal and external marketing and public communications for the Skagit Regional Health system. Essential Functions Serves as a key member of the Marketing and Communication team responsible for internal and external marketing needs and opportunities working with departments across the system.
Serves as project manager, overseeing. Design and production of specific marketing projects, utilizing outside resources and vendors as needed. Uses advanced graphic design skills to facilitate a wide variety of project internally and with vendors, as needed.
Manages change in internal and external strategies and programs over time. Ensures that the branding strategy is used consistently at all sites and in all mediums. Ensures effective internal and external marketing of new and/or prioritized SRH services.
Writes press releases, advertising copy, HealthQuest magazine and newsletter content and memos. Takes photos as needed and schedules and coordinates photography shoots as needed.
Manages additions and changes to web pages and the SRH Intranet so that content is current and compelling.
Knows and uses content managemenet systems. Plans and implements updates to social media. Assists with video production as needed.
Coordinates special projects requiring internal and/or external communication. Coordinates special events related to internal or external public relations. Prepares internal communications including memos, Connections, intranet messages and banners and serves as backup for monthly board meeting memos.
Working with Director of Planning and Marketing and Communications Manager , maintains an annual marketing and communications calendar and ensures that work is planned and completed according to schedule. Serves as a member of the Public Information Officer and is part of an on-call rotation as PIO. Utilizes market research to develop a comprehensive, well-coordinated strategy for marketing and communications.
Establishes methods for tracking the effectiveness of marketing initiatives. Complies with all organization policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned by manager or designee.
Education Formal communications and marketing training. BS or BA in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or program development. Experience/Training Previous experience developing and implementing marketing/communications strategies.
Experience in health care preferred. License/Certification None required. Other Qualifications Exceptional writing, editing and interpersonal communications skills required. Proficient with Microsoft Office.
