The following at-will job posting will remain open until Tuesday, May 14, 2019:MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR (PART-TIME)Rate of Pay: $ 14.50 per hourSchedule: Must have flexible availability.Hours will be scheduled Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.Limited nights and weekends may be required for special events.DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:This position is a part-time position responsible for assisting with marketing and communication initiatives for various Township departments.EXAMPLES OF WORK: (Note: These examples are intended merely as illustrations of the various types of work performed)* Assists Communication Specialist in coordinating various integrated communication and marketing activities. * Assists with the production of a wide range of marketing communications. * Tracks campaigns, prepares performance analysis reports post-campaign and makes recommendations to current programs for corrective modifications. * Assists with social media initiatives and updates sites as directed. * May represent the organization at promotional events, trade shows, open houses, etc. * Assists with writing press releases and promotional copy. * Manages layouts and designs communications such as presentations, flyers, newsletters, event support materials, and brochures. * Performs technical/professional or programming tasks related to the area of assignment. * Performs other duties as assigned.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:* Minimum of 2 years college/university coursework or two years of verifiable progressive marketing/communication experience required. * Minimum age of 18 to work in this position. * Must possess a current, valid Driver's License with a driving history that does not create liability concerns; which includes, but is not limited to, convictions for reckless driving, careless driving, suspended license, or convictions involving drinking and impaired driving. * Excellent copywriting skills with demonstrated ability to rework technical content for a wider audience required. * Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, desktop publishing skills required; must have excellent Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook skills. * Ability to demonstrate techniques and skills associated with assigned programs and activities. * Effective project management skills required. * Must possess a sound understanding of marketing principles. * Effective understanding of latest technologies with demonstrated ability to identify how to apply these technologies in marketing required. * Ability to build an excellent working relationship to attain goals and work collaboratively and efficaciously as a team member. * Skill in organizing self and others; ability to self-start in discharging responsibilities. Must be self-motivated. * Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, Board members, property owners and the public. * Effectively communicate and make the best use of interpersonal skills. * Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time (i.e. must be able to carry promotional items and set up for trade shows, open houses, etc.). * Ability to clearly communicate procedures, problems, and policies with Elected Officials, fellow employees and the public tactfully and courteously * Ability to work a wide variety of shifts including afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays. * This is an "At-Will" position: Work assignments and hours are scheduled based on availability, division requirements and within the confines of the budget.   • Schedule: Must have flexible availability. An employee in this position can work up to 29 hours per week year round. Work hours, however, will be solely determined based on workload, budget, and availability. * This is an at-will position. Hours are limited and will vary based on the operational needs of the department. Employees in this position are not full-time and will be classified as part-time employees.* A Selection Questionnaire will be used to assist in the selection process.
