Marketing Communications Coordinator

If so, the Farm Bureau Financial Services marketing team could be the place for you. We're looking for a detail-oriented, highly-motivated communicator to join our team. As Marketing Communications Coordinator, you'll work with a team dedicated to crafting clear, concise messaging on a variety of topics targeting our agents in the field, employees and our client/members in 15 states. This position requires the ability to synthesize information from a variety of internal and external sources to ensure an excellent client experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and implement communication strategies and associated content that helps build awareness, visibility and relevance for products and services sold under the Farm Bureau Financial Services umbrella

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to understand key messaging and audiences then execute communication plans, content, and programs

  • Synthesize communications needs across business units and work cross-functionally to ensure efficiency and alignment

  • Build awareness, educate and engage field leadership and agents in company and marketing initiatives

  • Communicate news and information in a digestible and meaningful way

  • Manage communications priorities and shelf space with field leadership and agents

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external resources

What It Takes to Join Our Team:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in journalism, communications or marketing

  • A minimum of five years relevant experience in the insurance/financial services sector preferred

  • Excellent communication and writing skills and exceptional attention to detail

  • Ability to learn and articulate the brand and corporate values through communications strategy

  • Ability to cultivate and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal business partners; be a team player

  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment; self-motivated, creative, flexible and adaptable to new situations

  • Outstanding project and budget management skills; analysis, problem-solving and organization

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all situations.

  • Willingness to travel as needed (less than 10%)

The CCM facilitates the creative execution/operational workflow of client programs to deliver sold campaigns and projects in conjunction with the Creative Director. Minimum two (2) years project or team lead experience preferred. * Thorough understanding of the overall creative process and techniques, including conceptualization, design, copy development, production artwork, pre-press, computer graphics, printing technologies and web design. * Advanced computer skills required including software skills in Project Management and Microsoft Office programs. * Strong creative abilities and the ability to develop innovative ideas and concepts. * Ability to lead and motivate creative/professional individuals, leading them to a higher level of quality and creativity. * Ability to have a positive attitude and effect on the creative/professional staff. * Excellent verbal and written communications skills. * Excellent time management and organizational skills. * General understanding of financial analysis and budget development. * Ability to handle multiple priorities, manage workflows and assist in prioritization of the schedules of the creative/professional staff, even in the midst of stressful and difficult circumstances. * Ability to listen, understand and respond to external and internal customers' needs in a timely manner; customer service experience in a service-related industry preferred. * Ability to work the time necessary to complete projects and/or meet deadlines.
