Overview

The Marketing Communication function is responsible for marketing and advertising activities, including creative services, market research, business intelligence, product management, and branding and design.

Responsibilities

Overview:

  • Marketing is becoming a strategic imperative for the company and TNS is increasing the sophistication of it's marketing campaigns to involve multi-faceted campaigns globally.

  • Expansion of key products have opened new opportunities across the business, including our Communications Market, Financial Markets and Payments Market areas.

Candidate Requirements:

A third-year student (a rising junior or a rising senior) who is attending a university in pursuit of a bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BFA) in the following areas:

Marketing

Event Management

Strategic Communications

  • The candidate will have completed their introductory/survey studies (i.e., 100-level courses), and will have entered into their principal course work (i.e., 300-level) or, if they are rising-senior, will be engaging in their capstone projects.

  • The candidate should have an interest in digital marketing and be fluent in media trends and technology breakthroughs.

  • It is not necessary for he/she/they to have an industry background (Telecommunications, Financial Services or Payment Transactions), but they should be able to comprehend the basics of TNS' businesses.

Qualifications

Job Functions/Duties:

The candidate will be tasked (but not limited) with the following:

  • Working on digital marketing initiatives including email marketing, advertising and social media.

  • Learning about and working through the lead management process including lead nurturing, segmentation, scoring and tracking with tools such as Salesforce (CRM), Pardot (marketing automation) and Demandbase (intent tracking, advertising).

  • Learning how to manage an event such as a trade show from start to finish. Experiencing and learning how a project/campaign is created and moves through the production process.

  • Learning the approvals process for getting various marketing collateral signed off by vested parties.

  • Learning the basics of project management and tracking of projects using Monday.com

  • Basic copywriting opportunities including email communications, college contractoral announcements, social media posts and other relevant material.

  • Editing and proof-reading a variety of materials.

  • Meeting coordination/scheduling

  • Working with product managers, sales managers and others across all divisions of TNS

  • For this role, we anticipate paying $20 - $25 per hour. Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.

Timeframe:

The expected term for the college contractor would be during summer break.
