The Marketing Campaign Specialist is a critical position for Carbonite's corporate business. Our marketing campaigns help us achieve our growth expectations by driving leads, pipeline, and new customers. Reporting to the Director, Brand and Marketing Campaigns, this person will be responsible for supporting and overseeing execution of our channel marketing campaigns; working cross-functionally to build thought leadership, engagement, and increased pipeline through our channel partners. This person would work with internal teams and external agencies to help us build successful and scalable ABM and digital marketing programs.

Specific Objectives and


Your First Six Months:

  • Understand our internal and external teams and how we operate to bring campaigns to market.

  • Familiarize yourself with our predictive analytics tool, our media channels, and our measurement strategy.

  • Understand our historical results for all programs including display advertising, retargeting, paid social media, paid search, content syndication, and webinars.

  • Become familiar with our channel ecosystem inclusive of MSPs, VARs, Distributors, Nationals, and Strategic Alliances.

  • Run pilot campaigns and measure performance.

Six to Twelve Months and Beyond:

  • Manage and support execution of targeted marketing programs with key partners.

  • Track performance and optimize our ABM efforts to influence key partners and named accounts.

  • Be the liaison between our internal team and external agencies as it relates to channel marketing plans from a media and creative perspective.

  • Work with our marketing operations team to measure performance of marketing campaigns and report to the leadership team on a regular basis.

  • Make budget allocation recommendations based on performance.

Key Challenges to Overcome:

The main challenge of this role is that it requires not only a great balance of analytical and soft skills, but also requires the candidate to be excellent at orchestration and at working through others. A campaign manager's responsibility includes getting things done through other people, which requires high levels of accountability and proactiveness. It also brings a lot of visibility to the role and opportunities to grow as part of the team.

  • High degree of comfort with complex technical environments

  • Having and being able to articulate/defend an informed opinion on important topics

Skills & Experience:

  • 1-3 years' experience executing digital marketing or ABM campaigns.

  • Demonstrated experience with reporting.

  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills, both written and oral, and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.

  • Previous experience working in a channel marketing role strongly desired.

  • Google AdWords and Google Analytics certifications are a plus.
