What You'll Do Here:

Description:

Hands-on marketing automation specialist to assist and enhance our Eloqua campaign program. The person will help in design and execution of marketing campaigns and processes within the marketing automation platform and will be a key resource for campaign managers and the marketing organization.

This role will report to the Creative Director who oversees the strategy and execution of all campaigns. Daily tasks will include, but are not limited to, email builds, dynamic content development, campaign canvas setup, segmentation and data/activity triggered events. In addition, the marketing automation specialist will be responsible for the integration of Eloqua with Magellan where appropriate, marketing attribution reporting, coding language, raw data, and raw data analysis.

The goal is to deliver high quality email marketing programs, help increase speed / agility throughout our overall campaigns processes, bring value to campaign reporting and tracking, support sales lead generation.

This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will have proven experience designing and building programs across a wide range of campaign types and disciplines. The ideal candidate will be an Eloqua power user.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and execute high quality digital marketing campaigns; create emails, landing pages, and forms within Eloqua

  • Contribute to the technical conceptualization of demand creation, nurturing and scoring programs

  • Assist in the maintenance of the marketing automation platform including scoring, multi-touch drip, nurture and emails, profiling, segmentation, and workflows

  • Analyze and create database segmentation and distribution lists for campaigns

  • Reinforce and support marketing automation best practices including list management, optimization, data quality, hygiene and troubleshooting

  • Help minimize list fatigue and opt-outs to improve email deliverability

  • Ensure timeliness and quality of all deliverables

Skills You Will Need Here:

Required Skills:

  • College degree in Marketing or equivalent experience

  • 2+ years' experience in high-tech B2B campaign execution and/or operations, integrated marketing and demand generation

  • 1+ years' experience using a Marketing Automation Platform

  • Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to accurately specify project timeframes, dependencies and risk factors, and manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to think logically and critically when troubleshooting along with a desire to grow your technical and strategic skill set

  • Problem solving ability and consideration of process improvements

  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

About National Geographic Learning At National Geographic Learning (NGL), part of Cengage, our goals are to bring the world to the classroom and the classroom to life. About the Role To support the NGL publishing process, the Operations team builds relationships with key brand and content partners, including National Geographic and TED, and builds the business knowledge, systems, and workflows that empower our Editorial and Marketing teams to make the most of these special partnerships. Specifically, the Administrator's team within the NGL Operations department manages custom publishing and licensing content to partners, intellectual property rights analysis, contract and financial administration, and product data integrity. Reporting to the Senior Analyst, Operations, the Operations Administrator is responsible for a wide variety of administrative tasks and special projects in these domains. The ideal candidate is an administrative professional interested in making a daily impact to our business with strong computer skills, organization abilities, detail orientation and a desire to execute complex administrative tasks. What You'll Do Here: NGL has publishing teams around the world responsible for adapting products to meet customer goals; the Administrator supports these teams with responsibilities including the following: * Reviews proposals for new custom products from colleagues and partners around the world; submits branded products to National Geographic for approval; works with Intellectual Property team to coordinate rights reviews * After a proposal is approved: administers post-approval workflows related to author royalties, product record creation, contract routing, and archiving of published products * Supports improvements to custom publishing process, including tracking project deadlines and departmental metrics NGL Operations administers rights and licensing contracts, including contract creation and archiving, financial administration in accordance with contract terms, and royalty setup and review. The Administrator has the following related responsibilities: * Populates contract templates and archives executed contracts * Updates systems and spreadsheets, meticulously, to ensure accurate royalty setup and track deadlines; creates and maintains related special tracking tools when appropriate * Leads regular meetings to provide author royalty details to the Royalties Department * Facilitates regular business development check-in meetings * Supports Senior Analyst, Operations during semi-annual review for accuracy of authors' royalty setups and ad hoc analysis * Administers incoming and outgoing invoices To support the NGL publishing process, the Operations team serves as experts on certain business systems; the Administrator's related responsibilities will include the following: * Coordinates product data integrity checks and facilitates corrections as needed * Gathers and analyzes financial data and product information * Runs monthly report on labor costs related to product development * Loads media assets (principally photography and video) and corresponding metadata into asset archiving systems; tracks and reports on asset usage metrics as needed The Administrator will also be responsible for various general administrative tasks, including: * Event coordination * Creates, updates, and curates training materials * Completes special projects as assigned * May assist with training and managing workload of intern(s) Skills You Will Need Here: * Associates degree in Business Administration or other related education and experience * Strong attention to detail is required to succeed in custom publishing administration, author royalty administration, and data-driven tasks where accuracy is critical * Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills are required to communicate complex problems and proposed solutions to multiple stakeholders who may not be native speakers of English * Demonstrated excellent organization and time management skills are needed to effectively track and complete multiple projects with varying priority levels * Basic proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint is required * Tenacity to follow through and complete challenging projects without the need for reminders from stakeholders * Interest in "mastering" tasks by learning and asking questions when needed, with the eventual goal of autonomy Cengage Learning Boston MA
