Primary Purpose of the Position

The Marketing Automation & Technology Manager is the lead technical advisor and ensures the business requirements of digital, demand generation and customer programs across the marketing organization are met as it relates to marketing automation and various technologies. The Manager monitors lead flow, scoring and ensures business processes and marketing assets are functioning as required. They collaborate with others to define and implement digital marketing and marketing automation best practices.

The Manager executes holistic website experiences and campaigns, from front-end development to marketing automation setup, to QA, to reporting. They constantly evaluate current scripts, code, and technologies to drive efficiencies and optimal experiences that result in better business performance. The Manager is also instrumental in platform planning for systems and process improvements that may extend across Marketing, Sales, Operations, Product, and Information Technology.

Duties, Responsibilities

Assist in the technical conceptualization of demand creation, nurturing, and lead scoring program strategy and implement based on business requirements

Keep lead flow highway efficiently moving between the Marketing Automation (MA) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms by identifying necessary data feeds to support daily functions and successful deployments

Manage web forms and develop campaign landing pages that meet digital guidelines, scripting, lead scoring, and integrates with back-end services
10%

Develop new front-end facing online experiences and ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX design and ensure cross browser compatibility and performance
10%

Evaluate and implement tools and technology that will enable campaign innovation and improve performance
5%

Execute email marketing nurture campaigns and programs and provide best practices, A/B testing, QA, and testing processes
5%

Oversee and optimize marketing automation infrastructure and serve as administrator and consultant across marketing channels as needed

Education and Experience Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
    3 years of relevant experience such as:

  • Campaign execution within a marketing automation platform (i.e. Eloqua, HubSpot, Marketo, ExactTarget)

  • Building and editing HTML emails and landing pages

  • Salesforce.com integration and workflow

  • A firm understanding of Data and reporting tools primarily Excel

  • Knowledge of Wordpress, PHP, HTML5, CSS, Javascript Libraries

Preferred:

  • B2B Revenue Marketing experience

  • Eloqua knowledge

  • Salesforce / Exacttarget Marketing knowledge

  • jQuery and XML knowledge

  • Google Analytics or SiteCatalyst knowledge

  • Google Adwords

  • CRMs such as Salesforce

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and demand generation

  • Strong understanding of JavaScript, web markup, HTML5 and CSS3, PHP

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce/CRM platforms and Application Program Interface (API) integration

  • Working knowledge of Wordpress and Content Marketing System (CMS) platforms

  • Web development and digital design skills

  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues

  • Working knowledge of email deliverability (authentication, reputation, deliverability monitoring, etc.)

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with other marketing professionals, including program managers and designers, as well as IT database managers and developers

  • Must have initiative and take a proactive approach to managing workload

  • Must possess high level of accountability for quality of work
