Requisition ID req29741 Working Title Marketing Assistant/Unit (CASAA) Position Grade 08 Position Summary

The Campus Office of Substance and Alcohol Prevention (COSAP) is accepting applications for a Marketing Assistant. This individual will support COSAP to create and market the resources available to the UNM community and other constituents on and off campus.

COSAP develops, organizes, and promotes prevention/harm reduction activities and alternative substance-free activities as options for UNM students, faculty and staff to enjoy their time at UNM without alcohol and other drugs. COSAP programs are designed to promote realistic estimates of one's own alcohol and other drug use; to increase success and health; to reduce risks associated with alcohol and other drug use; and to help live a healthier life. COSAP is under the direction of the Center on Alcohol, Substance use, And Addictions (CASAA)

This position is currently a part time position with an opportunity to become full time should additional external funding become available.

Conditions of Employment

  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior marketing experience using social media accounts (Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook)

  • Experience working in an academic environment

  • Experience with various applications such as publisher, powerpoint etc

  • Experience with community engagement activities

  • Ability to develop content for prevention strategies

  • Willingness to present prevention materials at community engagement meetings.
