Position Summary

McCarthy's Marketing team is seeking a hands-on, collaborative, and energetic Marketing Assistant. This position will sit in our St. Louis headquarters office (Des Peres, MO) and will support McCarthy's Central (Midwest) Region with a variety of marketing, creative and administrative activities. Responsibilities include crafting internal and external communications, event planning, graphic design, database management, and presentation and proposal materials production. This position will work closely with Regional Leadership and the Business Development team to support the development of client relationships and competitive procurement of major construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists with coordination of the proposal and presentation production process.

  • Responsible for supporting the project qualification and proposal process including collecting project-specific information, developing proposal content, and assisting with other requirements to meet RFP guidelines and target assignment dates.

  • Creates presentations with PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign, and other tools.

  • Develops written materials including project lists, data sheets and resumes.

  • Aids in creating and maintaining proposal graphics.

  • Assists in printing, binding, mailing, etc. of final proposal product.

  • Files information appropriately so it can be reused in future pursuits.

  • Assists with public relations efforts and event coordination.

  • Coordinates events including trade shows/conferences, client events, internal meetings, and community service projects.

  • Assists with external communication activities including creation of content and submittal of awards for McCarthy's projects and people.

  • Designs presentations, invitations, and additional marketing collateral for internal and external events.

  • Develops posts for social media outlets and writes stories for the company Intranet site.

Maintains CRM database.

  • Gathers information regarding McCarthy projects and employees to include in proposal content.

  • Maintains CRM database including ensuring data integrity of opportunities, projects, contacts, and employees.

  • Conducts database searches and produces reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, English, Journalism, Graphic Design or a related field required.

  • 1+ years of experience in a journalist, communications or marketing-related role required.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in all Microsoft applications, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.

  • Exceptional written and verbal skills required.

  • Ability to work and prioritize under pressure, excel at meeting tight deadlines required.

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite software, especially InDesign.

  • Familiarity with CRM database management (especially Microsoft Dynamics) preferred.

  • Graphics capabilities with a good eye for design preferred.
