Event Planning

Responsible for all conference and exhibition details, ensuring that 12 annual industry sponsored events/exhibitions and two annual Customer User Conferences are executed professionally and flawlessly.

  • Research, recommend, and negotiate venue and hotel contracts.
  • Identify, contract and coordinate with all vendors.
  • Track due dates and specs for all show deliverables.
  • Coordinate outbound and return shipping of all event related items.
  • Monitor and control event budgets.

Marketing Database Quality Assurance & Management

Responsible for the accuracy of Atypons prospect and customer databases.

Salesforce CRM

  • Serve as Atypons Salesforce administrator.
  • Maintain the master record of all database fields including any changes over time, and the required usage processes.
  • Ensure processes are followed to enforce the consistency of Salesforce data and reporting.
  • Collect, forward, and track all sales leads generated by Marketing to calculate ROI of campaigns.

Marketing Automation System

Responsible for executing targeted email marketing campaigns to prospects and customers using Pardot.

  • Create and manage automation rules.
  • Build, test, and execute emails (copy provided by Marketing Director).
  • Segment the Pardot and/or Salesforce databases for targeting and list building.
  • Document and maintain the Pardot infrastructure, and changes to it over time, to support a smooth, closed loop, lead generation and tracking system.
  • Master Pardots higher value features such as drip and nurture campaigns to automate our customer communication and lead gen activities.

Public Relations

  • Keep industry media and consultant database up to date.
  • Distribute pitches for each press release.

Corporate Website

  • Keep site up-to-date with the latest events, clients, and statistics.
  • Make content updates as requested by Marketing Director.

Social Media

  • Social media listening and execution

Budget Tracking

  • Document all marketing expenses for enabling campaign and event ROI calculations.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree
  • 10 years minimum experience in meeting planning.
  • 5 years minimum experience with marketing automation systems.
  • Experience efficiently and effectively executing and overseeing a wide variety of marketing responsibilities.
  • Ability to rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • A demonstrable track record of proactive problem-solving, including a degree of creativity.
  • A valid passport and the ability to travel overseas 2 - 3 times per year.

SUMMARY The Marketing Manager in tandem with the Director develops, implements, and manages comprehensive marketing plans within the budget resources to maximize sales of the Secondary Literacy and Supplemental product line. The Marketing Manager works with the Director to coordinate and manage all marketing activities for the product line. Marketing activities for the product include, but are not limited to the following: positioning and launch of product, market research, sales input meetings, customer Advisory Boards, National Conferences and exhibits, pricing, packaging, analysis of cost for all marketing areas. The Marketing Manager must have strong written and verbal communication skills. The Marketing Manager should demonstrate an understanding of web –based technologies. SCOPE AND IMPACT OF JOB Supervisory responsibilities Manages all marketing activities related to various Secondary Literacy and Supplemental Products. Specific product marketing responsibilities might shift as Literacy and Supplemental products move through the various development phases. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 40%Coordinate with Product Management, Marketing Managers, Integrated Marketing Services team, and the Field to develop effective marketing and product launch plans. Facilitate the development and maintenance of the product lines by serving as the liaison between the customer, sales force, and product development teams. 20%Develop effective sales support materials, including product presentations and adequately train the Field on respective product lines. 20%Work with Product Management to conduct competitive analyses and provide the sales force with effective competitive selling strategies. 10%Participate in tradeshow and events planning to optimize product messaging at such events. 10%Develop and execute product sampling strategy in support of assigned product lines. Qualifications REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's degree required. Educational background preferred. * Experience in educational publishing preferred. * High degree of Computer Literacy required: Expertise in PowerPoint, Excel, WORD, Outlook, etc. * Ability to manage multiple projects. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Experience with and understanding of web-based technologies. * Strong interpersonal skills required: Must be able to interact successfully with customers, sales team, product development team, and product management team. * Good time management skills and organizational skills required. * Experience in online marketing techniques required, including email, social media, product demos (such as Brainshark or Camtasia) required. * Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven, collaborative climate required.
