DK Security is searching for a Marketing and Business Development Coordinator who is motivated to accelerate the company's marketing and business development initiatives and serve as a key member of our team at our Corporate Office in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual that possesses great verbal and written communication skills, along with a passion for creating digital marketing content. The Marketing and Business Development Coordinator would support both the Marketing Manager and VP of Marketing & Business Development, rounding out our three-person marketing team! This position will largely be responsible for assisting with DK's marketing initiatives, with points of emphasis on social media, email newsletters, and contact management. In addition, this position will assist with business development by coordinating inbound security guard requests from the initial contact to the signed MOU/agreement. This includes meeting with clients to gather information on the request, communicating the request internally, drafting MOUs, and passing the request off to a DK Operations Manager.

Schedule:

1st shift, Monday - Thursday or Friday (40 Hours/Week)

This is a full-time position.

Approximately 25 - 30 weekly hours are spent on marketing related responsibilities, with the rest of the weekly hours being spent on coordinating inbound security requests. This may fluctuate based on the number of inbound security requests in each week.

Compensation:

Rate of Pay: $17/Hour - $19/Hour

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and create content for DK Security's social media platforms regularly.

  • Manage company profiles on job boards and directories.

  • Create and send the monthly company-wide employee newsletter.

  • Create digital marketing content for DK Security's HR/Recruiting team as needed.

  • Develop marketing campaigns that align with and advance DK Security's long-term marketing, recruiting, and business development strategies.

  • Take high quality photos of DK Security's officers in the field, along with taking other relevant photos for marketing initiatives.

  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager on current marketing projects and initiatives.

  • Gather information from inbound security requests and serve as the point of contact between DK Security and the new security client, up until the MOU is signed.

  • Coordinate new security requests between the DK Security Marketing and Operations departments.

  • Draft MOUs that outline the terms, conditions, and expectations for new security assignments.

  • Work closely with the VP of Marketing & Business Development on current business development projects and initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills for various internal and external audiences.

  • Demonstrated experience with social media platforms.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.

  • Present a friendly, positive, and professional image to clients, employees, supervisors, managers, and the general public.

  • Strong creative instincts and sound business judgement.

  • Eagerness to learn.

  • Ability to independently manage multiple tasks at the same time.

  • Must be of good moral character, with no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions for criminal sexual conduct or related offenses, theft, assault, or crimes of moral turpitude, is required.

  • NOTE: Internal Candidates with an active disciplinary action in his/her personnel file will NOT be considered for this position.

Preferences:

  • 1 year of marketing-related experience and/or working towards a bachelor's degree in marketing or business.

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat).

  • Photography skills.
