The Business/Marketing Analyst will work closely with the Director of Marketing and other business leaders across the organization in the research, development, implementation, and management of recurring and ad-hoc analysis and reporting supporting the strategic direction and goals of the organization. The primary goal of the position is to support the Marketing Team in gauging the effectiveness of our marketing efforts in furthering the company's brand awareness, understanding the effectiveness of marketing channels, and providing recommendations on changing the marketing mix. The position will also analyze prospect and competitor data to help identify areas of opportunity. The right candidate will have a positive attitude and a desire to learn in a fast paced environment. The role requires a high level of organization and detail.
Support business objectives in making strategic data-related decisions by analyzing, managing, and reporting data
Design and execute complex analytics projects that involve data collection and analysis
Conduct ongoing, comprehensive reporting including current trends, projections
Partners with technical and non-technical resources across the business to leverage their support and integrate efforts to achieve business objectives
Use analytical tools and systems for delivering data , synthesizing analysis and developing key marketing and customer insights to meet business objectives
Proactively monitor interactive marketing campaign and school data to identify red flags, positive / negative trends, areas of opportunities, benchmarks, etc.
Excel Expertise Required including familiarity with Pivot Tables and SQL: extract data from CRM system to develop reports.
A bachelor's degree in business, mathematics or similar analytical area
1-3 years of relevant analytical experience
Understanding of Google Analytics (advanced segments, filtering, customization reports)
Experience in crafting marketing messages (value propositions, features/benefits)
Advanced Excel skills required
Strong statistical background and proven analytical skills required
Knowledge of elementary computer programming required
Data mapping experience
Knowledge of Tableau, Access, SQL is preferred
Strong communication and presentation skills
High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively as a team player in a fast-paced environment
Strong intellectual curiosity; must be able to think critically and strategically. Must be able to think about a problem and dig into the data to develop actionable recommendations.
