Position Overview:

The Global Business Development team is responsible for cultivating prospective business as well as supporting retention and development efforts with existing clients. Associates collaborate with investment directors and senior members of the Global Business Development team to create winning strategies and prepare materials necessary to win and retain business. Associates play a significant role in directly shepherding these efforts in order to grow the firm's business.

The Marketing Analyst role focuses on responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). RFPs are an integral part of the business development effort for both of these core practices. This position requires significant business writing and interpersonal skills to interface with investment teams and senior management of the firm as well as with prospective and existing clients. It provides the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the core components of our business, building a solid foundation for career development within Global Business Development.

Job Responsibilities

  • Vet, create, produce, and submit Request for Proposals (RFPs) received by the team. This might include speaking with prospective clients to determine their needs and potential fit for CA.

  • Work with senior members of Global Business Development, Investment Directors, and subject-matter experts in departments across the firm to craft custom answers for investment content and non-standard answers.

  • Help keep RFP database current, and proactively identify changes to language and positioning that will create compelling responses.

  • Document and upload all activities into marketing tracking system to ensure accurate pipeline analytics.

  • Participate in broader business development efforts when possible, including pitch materials, custom proposals, and other prospect and client communications to support business development efforts and cultivate a broader understanding of our business for career development opportunities.


  • BA/BS required

  • 1-3 years of proposal writing experience, preferably in the asset management industry

  • Strong written and oral communication skills (writing sample required)

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize responsibilities

  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven, team-oriented environment

  • Strong project management skills and proven ability to effectively "manage up"

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Interest and basic understanding of financial services

  • CFA or progress toward CFA is a plus

  • Excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Must be eligible to work without sponsorship or restriction in the US

We are seeking a Marketing Analyst to support the analysis of the company's sales, product mix, marketing channel and partner performance, as well as marketing campaign development and tracking. He/she extracts data for analysis of agent, partner, channel and overall performance, product mix, marketing campaigns, competitive position, and marketing expenses, creates and presents analyses, manages agency marketing requests, and assists with development of sales tools and other initiatives to support profitable growth and improve competitive position. Responsibilities: * Analyzes marketing data, identifies trends and opportunities. * Creates monthly and quarterly marketing reports and analysis for the various marketing channels, independent agent, Super Agent, direct, partner, etc., as well as ad hoc analyses as needed. * Analyzes and prepares compensation reports and assists in the creation of compensation plans. * Assists in the analysis of marketing and sales opportunities in the various marketing channels, including address matching with profitable risks, book transfer opportunities, etc. * Assists in the creation of presentations for Agency Councils, strategic and other sales partners, etc. * Assists in the creation of the annual premium budgets. * Effectively uses available tools and data systems to analyze business issues within the company data/reports, troubleshoots when there are inconsistencies and communicates the results to the Marketing Directors. * Supports data requests made by other departments related to marketing and sales. * Works closely with others to gain strong understanding of insurance concepts and processes such as indications, underwriting rules, and rating and tiering models. Education & Experience: * Experience with relational database tools and concepts. * Programming query experience (SQL or Visual Basic). * Proficient Microsoft Office skills, especially strong Excel and PowerPoint experience * Familiarity with Salesforce or other marketing software tools * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to work independently and efficiently on a high volume of tasks assigned by the Marketing Directors. * High Level of intellectual curiosity. * SAS and regression analysis experience preferred. * Demonstrated problem solving experience gained through related coursework and work experience. * BA/BS degree in quantitative field of study. * Property and Casualty Insurance experience preferred.
