Axos Bank is seeking a Marketing Analyst who will be responsible for providing analytical support to a fast-paced marketing department. This role requires the candidate to have in-depth coding experience and a broad knowledge of online marketing techniques and data analysis.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Create advanced reporting and analysis for campaigns and projects through Microsoft SQL Server and Tableau

  • Write complex segmentation queries for marketing campaigns and analysis of those campaign results in Microsoft SQL Server / Tableau

  • Prepare high-quality presentations and dashboards for management and marketing teams, highlighting campaign performance in comparison to goals/projections

  • Design tools to optimize segmentation and targeting of our customer base

  • Support customer data integration efforts across all lines of business with hands-on technical involvement in testing, scrubbing, and cleansing of data

  • Apply various analytic methods to discover and interpret information from multiple data sources

  • Track, measure and analyze website traffic patterns and online behaviors using Google Analytics

  • Recommend changes based on noted trends in data and analysis of results post-changes

  • Devise and implement data-driven ideas to optimize customer journey performance - deliverability, open rate, click rate, conversion rate, etc.

  • Analyze customer segments and determine which segments are more responsive, which campaigns are most successful, and be able to communicate this from a statistical perspective, backed by data

  • Leverage online advertising results and data to drive ongoing optimization of campaign performance


Key Skill Sets or Knowledge

Requirements:
  • Strong coding skills, preferably in SQL

  • Tableau

  • Salesforce

  • Exceptional written and oral communications

  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail

  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and committed to deadlines

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize work demands amongst frequently changing priorities and deadlines

  • Self-directed and able to flourish in a fast-paced environment

  • Efficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outook, Powerpoint), knowledge on digital tools (Google Analytics, Google Adwords)

Desired Career Experience &

Education Requirements:
  • 2+ years' Microsoft SQL

  • 1+ year Tableau

  • 2+ years' in Analyst role

  • Experience extracting data from databases by writing the query code to join relevant tables and data

  • Proven track record of designing and producing analysis projects at the product or portfolio level

  • Performed analysis (A/B testing) and utilized data analytics to drive marketing and product strategies

  • Online marketing, PPC, retargeting, social media, and SEO

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field

Essential Job Functions: The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation. * Independently lead data driven insights, collaborate, and align customer targeting strategy in close partnership with CRM & Data Science teams on design of campaign. Recommend robust test plans & optimized segmentation spanning critical customer cohorts, including value segment, pet type, decile, recency, reachability, etc. * Independently own and mentor less experienced analysts on projects that support strategy for 360° view of customer by creating analytical plans that span: in depth behavioral analytics, market / competitor analysis, demographic profiling, syndicated studies, voice of customer insights, and any other sources that uncover new insights to drive go to market / business strategy. * Generate campaign forecast / performance reporting to be presented to senior leaders. Introduce and gain alignment of analytical methodology and metrics to assess performance of marketing programs including expense, response, incremental sales / margin, breakeven analysis, and deep dive analysis to understand short / long term customer behavior impacts. * Develop reporting solutions to standardize CRM / Loyalty reporting, including tools and training to empower CRM program managers to own their reporting. Compile relevant analysis to drive timely, concise and actionable marketing analytics presentations that help business / senior leaders understand collective impact and opportunity for CRM/Loyalty. * Develop and recommend marketing and customer analytics best practices by evaluating and improving targeting, forecasting, and post mortem dive methodology.
