The primary duties of the Marketing Account Manager are to:
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business line clients and manage all facets of campaign strategy, planning and project management to achieve high quality, effective marketing solutions and to assure high client satisfaction.
Guide the development, execution and deployment of advertising and promotional campaigns including media placement across multiple channels of communication and distribution. This position is responsible for contributing to revenue growth targets.
Work with creative team, support groups, business line clients, management and/or outside vendors and suppliers to initiate and coordinate the production of marketing plans, collateral and other executions that will directly contribute to the brand's continued growth and success.
Initiate campaign/project kick-off with corporate marketing team by submitting all essential forms as well as assemble needed resources. Develop statement of work and set expectations among client base and Corporate Marketing teams regarding project scope, timeline and quality of deliverables. Monitor production schedules for marketing projects, including creative development, media placement and list production to ensure timely delivery and deployment of marketing executions.
Analyze project requirements, recommend appropriate marketing solutions based on research findings, product, target, audience, timing and positively affecting conversion rates and return-on-investment. Collaborate with MRM, database marketing and business line clients to identify audience and segmentation strategies for campaigns, identifying the metrics at the start of the project that will be the measure for success or failure of those campaign efforts.
Articulate and track project milestones, deliverables, and communicate progress to the business line clients and Corporate Marketing team members.
Monitor change requests and prevent unapproved modifications that result in 'scope creep', advising management on the effects these changes will have on schedules and resources.
Assist in the management of legal and compliance review process to assure advertising complies with all statutory and regulatory requirements. When appropriate, submit marketing communications to other third parties for review.
Develop and manage a top-side promotional calendar in collaboration with business line clients and other account managers.
Manage alliances with AAA National and other AAA clubs and preferred suppliers to protect and leverage the AAA brand. Promote and reinforce amongst clients compliance with brand standards.
Manage and coordinate marketing budgets and schedules to increase efficiency of dollars spent and realize economies of scale. When possible, coordinate schedules prepared by other account managers to leverage joint marketing opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors' degree in Marketing, Advertising or Communications; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
3-5+ years business experience in an advertising agency or in-house corporate agency with demonstrated multi-channel marketing experience, including innovative traditional and interactive solutions to increase sales and drive revenue growth.
Experience working with and managing multiple projects, suppliers, vendors and clients.
Experience using online project management/tracking software a plus.
