About the Role You will:
We are looking for a Business Marketing Analyst who will be comfortable working closely with business teams but also dealing with complex numerical analysis. The ideal candidate must be intellectually curious about how everything ties together to run our business and be a self-starter with a strong sense of initiative. This candidate will become an integral part of the business teams and play a key role in helping them analyze and plan their business.
Key areas of responsibilities for our Analysts include:
Market Research Determine the size of data storage markets and forecasted demand. Work with external third party data along with internal business leaders to source information needed for analysis. Develop and maintain tracking and planning tools to maintain a short term and long term view of the TAM (Total Addressable Market).
Analysis Conduct market segmentation analysis and competitive analysis. Use statistical models to conduct forecasting. Develop and maintain forecast models. In-depth market analysis by geography, product, and channel. Analyze pricing strategies. Work with internal teams on competitive analysis. Examine end-user demand drivers.
Planning & Consolidation Work with business segment leaders to create quarterly business plans and prepare consolidated views of the business for executive meetings. Maintain and manage tracking of key metrics (market size, mix, pricing, costs, and margins etc.). Work across internal teams including Business Units, Products, Finance, Operations, and Cost Teams creating and integrated view of the P&L and impacts to it.
Tools & process Drive weekly and quarterly cadence of segment meetings while managing inputs for templates and presentations. Manage and develop content for pricing meetings with leaders for each business segment. Work closely with finance teams in tracking and planning. Develop new tools and look for end-to-end process efficiencies.

This position is part of the Business Analysis & Strategy organization which includes the responsibilities of Market Research, Planning, Analysis, and Business Unit Strategy. Our group's charter is to define short and long term market trends facing the global storage industry, accurately forecast the market demand, and analyze how different strategies across Business lines impact the consolidated P&L. The market perspectives and analysis are utilized by many groups within the organization, including our executive team which communicates broadly to the outside analyst community and investment community.

Your Experience Includes:
Substantial experience in research and/or analytics, ideally in market, business, or financial analytics function
Strong proficiency in MS Excel and experience with SQL and different databases
Project management. Must be able to manage multiple projects and deliverables. Develop own milestones and manage deliverables of others without direct authority
Experience in statistical modeling techniques and pricing analysis
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience (prefer a background in a quantitative field - economics, finance, statistics, applied mathematics, computer science). An advanced degree or MBA would be a plus.
Experience working in a technology company with a manufacturing emphasis preferred
Any experience Tableau or other visualization tools is a plus
Experience with pricing tools is a plus
Business consulting experience is a plus
