Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Passion for uncovering data-driven consumer insights out of large quantitative datasets

  • Work on different types of quantitative market research studies and entertainment properties, including movies, TV, and video games

  • Further your understanding of the global entertainment industry and its trends through market research

  • Own the research process from start to finish, from methodology to report creation

  • Partner with Operations, Field, and Data teams to oversee project management process

  • Leverage prior research experience to effectively draft questionnaires and reports for the following types of studies: concept, positioning, brand, tracking, and post-releases

  • Write survey questionnaires and review for accuracy

  • Read movie and TV scripts, crafting concepts and marketing statements to be used in testing

  • Review survey test links for accuracy and make improvements for respondent experience

  • Analyze data and create in-depth story outlines to lead report creation

  • Craft reports in PowerPoint on diverse entertainment topics

  • Present results to clients both over the phone and in person

  • Aid in the development of 1-2 Research Associates

Qualification Requirements

  • A passion for entertainment and pop culture

  • Bachelor's or Graduate Degree; Social Science, English, Communications, and Business degree programs preferred

  • 3-5 years of vendor-side market research experience

  • Strong collaboration, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Prior experience with the following research methodologies and study types: monadic testing, MaxDiff, concept, positioning, post-release/mortem, pilot, brand, copy/ad, and tracking. Exposure to price testing, market-sizing, conjoints, segmentation, and qualitative methodologies is a plus.

  • Must be comfortable working with big datasets

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency

  • Comfortable working on a PC

  • Comfortable designing PowerPoint presentations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.); experience with Photoshop is a plus

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by MarketCast

VIEW JOBS 4/25/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-24T00:00 The Market Research Manager partners with brand and agency teams to drive major strategic marketing, communication and new product decisions through consumer insights, including both strategic initiatives (e.g., brand strategy and positioning, new product development, geographic expansion) and tactical initiatives (e.g., pricing, taste testing, marketing campaign tracking). This position shares consumer insights best practices and internal knowledge across the portfolio of brands. As a key member of the market research team, this person works with all the consumer brands in the Wonderful portfolio and serves a critical partnership role with both brand marketing and agency teams. Here's what you'll do: * Design and lead research for our entire portfolio of iconic brands (FIJI Water, POM Wonderful, Wonderful Pistachios, etc.) * Analyzes qualitative and quantitative research data results, report and present findings, and make insightful and actionable recommendations. * Identifies and implements new and innovative research techniques to address business needs. * Delivers insights in a compelling and creative way as research is used to inform creative briefs for advertising/PR/marketing campaigns. * Forms strong working relationships and collaborates closely with brand and agency team members. * Leads the development and execution of the knowledge agenda for the brands. * Provides thought leadership in developing practical solutions to business challenges. * Serves as the voice of the consumer in all interactions with brand senior management and marketers. * Designs, coordinates and executes strategic qualitative and quantitative research projects which may include focus groups, online tools, and other research methods. * Willing to be hands-on in the quantitative (survey design and writing, creating banner and tab plans, etc.) and qualitative (screener development, recruiting, etc.) research processes * Manages project work with research suppliers, requests and analyzes proposals, establishes timelines and workflows to deliver successful research studies for the team. * Attends research conferences to better understand emerging research methods and techniques. * Performs other duties as assigned. Here's what you'll bring to the table: * 6-8 years of experience in consumer and market research, especially with a top market research firm or CPG company. * Must have strong project management skills. * Experience in leading and executing research projects, both qualitative and quantitative. * Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and work effectively with brand and agency partners, outside research vendors, and within the research team. * Must be detail oriented without sacrificing a broad strategic perspective. * Strong analytical skills, comfort with data analysis is essential. * Comfort with point of sale data tools like IRI and Nielsen a plus. * Strong written and oral communication skills and a confident manner with the ability to as this and interact with senior level executives including ownership. * Must be focused, organized, results-oriented individual. * Needs to work well autonomously, and bring a strong, conscientious work ethic. * Travel for in-field market research, when necessary 10-15% approximately.
