Job Overview
Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Human Resources Market Recruiter (Northwest region - Washington, Oregon & Utah) to join our team.
This position will be responsible for achieving staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates and assisting and advising managers in the recruitment process. Responsibilities include discussing hiring needs and required qualifications with management; posting positions for recruitment; reviewing qualified internal and external candidates responding to job inquiries; conducting interviews using appropriate techniques; recommending candidates for further consideration; and assisting with on-boarding new employees. Understanding of Shriners' employee benefits, compensation philosophy, and various personnel-related policies will be essential.
Schedule: Exempt, Full-time (in-person)
Holidays: 9 observed holidays per year
Compensation range: The hired applicant's placement within the range is based on qualifications, market area, professional experience and education.
Responsibilities
Recruitment and RetentionMeets with hiring managers to review job descriptions and confirm skills and competencies required for job openings. Reviews qualifications of potential internal and external candidates responding to job postings.
Recommends internal and external candidates to hiring manager for further consideration. Conducts interviews in person or via telephone using appropriate techniques.
Policy Interpretation and AdministrationProvides policy interpretation and administration consistently in all situations. May assist the Director, Human Resources in the development of human resources policies in order to satisfy legal requirements.
Assures a practical level of consistency and accurate policy interpretation interdepartmentally and across the SHC hospital system. Assists management in required personnel functions such as disciplinary procedures and appropriate corresponding paperwork and documentation. Explains policies and procedures to employees that function in a supervisory capacity.

Qualifications
Required
Preferred
Bachelor's in Human Resources or related field
5 years experience in HR/recruiting
3 years experience in physician recruitment or rlated physician relations activities
Professional HR / Senior Professional HR Certification (PHR/SPHR)
