Reporting to the Sr. Director ofMarketing, this role is responsible for managing a defined set of productswithin a franchise.

Responsibilities include workingwith US sales leadership and regional and in-country marketing teams to gaininsight into local market dynamics, collecting voice of customer feedback, andconsolidating input into the development of the Global Product Plan.

The Market Manager will assist the

Director of Marketing/Sr. Market Manager with developing and driving the GlobalProduct Plan. The Market Manager will serve as the Marketing function lead onproduct development teams as appropriate for the assigned franchise.

The Market Manager will preparefinancial analyses and business plans to support new product developmentprograms, gather competitive intelligence, and develop relevant market modelsto support their assigned product categories.

The Global Market Manager will bethe product line leader in supporting and developing downstream programs tosupport the US selling organization, including programs to drive sales forcereadiness and achieve revenue targets for the assigned product lines.


Develops and executes downstreammarketing plans for assigned product franchise. These plans may include:

  • Limited product launch and full launch plans for assigned product

  • Demo and trade-out programs

  • Participates in developing training plans and training content as needed

  • Works with manufacturing planners to forecast product needs and ensure adequatedemo and launch inventory

  • Createreports on marketing and sales metrics, like conversion rates

  • Assistwith organizing promotional events

  • Coordinatewith the Marketing Design and Content teams to create advertising material(e.g. brochures and newsletters)

Works closely with Director ofMarketing and country marketing leads to develop and drive the franchise GlobalProduct Plan, which includes new products, new indications, claim development,and product exit strategies globally. Marketing Manager serves as marketingteam member on PDP teams for budgeted product development projects.

Develops and maintains customerrelationships, interactions with KOLs and manages surgeon consultant(s). Consolidates voice of customer feedback. Worksclosely with US Sales leadership, regional and country marketing leads to driveassigned product lines.

Education Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred.

  • 5 years of commercial experience with the majority specific to the medical deviceindustry. 3 years mktg experience.Sales experience preferred.

  • Demonstratedleadership experience

  • Immediatelyreports any dissatisfaction or complaint which is brought to their attentionfrom a customer or patient regarding a Smith & Nephew product (e.g. interms of quality, durability, reliability, safety or performance) to thecomplaints department

  • Completesall required HSE training
