Compensation includes a base salary of $117,300.00 - $195,500.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

As a leader and innovator in the mobile fleet service industry, we provide preventative maintenance excellence with proprietary technology tailored to each customer's unique needs. Reporting to the AVP of Operations, as a Market Leader, this role will provide the leadership and oversight to the operations team within the designated market. This role will engage with Fleet Services (FS) leadership to identify priorities and drive decision-making that delivers on the operational vision and strategy for Fleet Services. The Market Leader is responsible for the profit & loss ("P&L") of all operations within the designated market and must establish and approve budgets and resource allocations to ensure alignment with commitment from finance partners and senior leadership. This role will work closely with the sales team to continue to generate new sales opportunities, engage with current clients to ensure customer satisfaction, and the finance team to align on budget and projections within designated market.

Primary Duties/Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction for a team of managers, mobile and shop technicians, and business support roles within the designated market.

  • Engage with Fleet Services leadership to identify priorities and drive decision making that delivers on operational vision and strategy.

  • Ownership of the market profit and loss (P&L).

  • Establish and approve budgets and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with commitment from finance partners and senior leadership.

  • Promotes the value of diversity as a competitive advantage to internal and external stakeholders and offer options for increasing diversity in the workplace.

  • Sets the example of desired code of conduct to build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members in all functional areas of responsibility.

  • Uses an understanding of the customer's needs and the organization's customer service practices to set priorities, make decisions and take actions that create a positive customer experience and prevent occurrence of service issues.

  • Partner with Fleet Services leadership team to transform organizational functions, build strategic capabilities, and ensure delivery on the current-state business needs.

  • Create a workplace environment where employees understand how their duties contribute to the organization's overarching goal and enjoy collaborating with one another.

  • Partner with our sales team to communicate business needs and ensure they are aligned with the operational goals. Makes sure to keep lines of communication open with our sales team.

  • Provide thought leadership internally and externally.

  • Take ownership of the market business and make entrepreneurial decisions based on local market conditions that will gain market share and improve results.

  • Collaborate with the Mobility Product team to support existing and new technology solutions.

  • Lead end-to-end operations and assess staffing levels, review work volumes, plan and continuously monitor to ensure efficiency, qualify work product, and effective customer service.

  • Monitor team performance and take necessary actions for the safety of all employees.

  • Identify within and engage with the community and industry partners to understand customer/industry needs and pain points. Develop partnerships when and where synergies exist to advance the Fleet Services organization's goals, needs, and aspirations.

  • Paints a clear picture of the organization's purpose, strategy and culture and how employees can best participate and contribute to long-term success.

  • Collaborate with the HR Business Partner on employee initiatives and escalate issues as needed.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree required + 10 or more years of relevant work experience in a related field

  • OR MS degree + 8 years of experience

  • OR Ph.D. degree + 5 years of experience

  • OR 14+ years of experience with no degree

  • 7+ years' experience in management or leadership role

  • 5 years of exposure to P&L financial management with working knowledge of budgeting concepts

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, including experiencing high-level business discussions and low-level technical discussions to drive alignment and bring clarity to the overall vision.

  • Thorough knowledge of the trucking industry with direct experience in fleet maintenance. General understanding of the Department of Transportation (DOT), federal, state, and local regulations affecting vehicle maintenance operations.

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong analytical thinker

  • Ability to adapt strategy and approach based on changing business conditions

  • Experience developing and managing process and performance measurement tools

  • Ability to influence and negotiate with a wide range of audiences, internally and externally

  • Strong interpersonal skills- flexible, collaborative, positive attitude, highly motivated and curious about market evolutions

  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 15% of the time)

  • Must be willing to undergo a background, and drug screen after an offer of employment has been made

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
