The Talentline Market Event Coordinator (MEC) is an exciting position for someone with impactful relationship-building skills, and a sales-minded approach. This individual must have a history of exemplary performance, demonstrate interpersonal relations skills, be a good communicator & motivator and exhibit operational excellence.

As a Market Event Coordinator, you will

  • Conceptualize, negotiate, plan, and execute engaging, creative and buzz-worthy events

  • Examples of events: parties, concerts, classes, festivals, social gatherings,

  • Advocate for partnerships to promote the Samsung Electronics brand and products

  • Produce a field marketing plan to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external clients

  • Connect with local businesses and event organizations that are aligned with the Samsung brand

  • Generate and nurture a network of community partnerships

  • Maintain a sales-minded mentality and look for ways to drive consumers to retail

  • Communicate frequently and efficiently with your Market Manager, team members, and leadership team to ensure alignment

  • Accurately document and report market intelligence: Consumer sentiments, competitor activities, sales, schedules, insights and best practices

  • Assist Field Sales Managers (FSM) with in and out of store events as needed

  • Contribute to training content creation based on frontline feedback

  • Be responsible for multiple devices, ensuring their upkeep, and facilitating hand-offs as needed

  • Participate in planning sessions and breakout facilitation during national training meetings

  • Assisting Experiential Market Manager on operational duties such as but not limited to, market intelligence, training compliance, conference call, device distribution, and field reporting

Duties and Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • Source local community events that drive awareness and excitement around the client's brand

  • Support local client's retail teams through event execution, store partnerships, and product training

  • Travel to major markets to execute events in support of product launches or to promote products

  • Support product launches through mystery shops, retail and consumer insights, and product training

  • Audit and record competitive products, promotions, merchandising, displays and customer feedback

  • Responsible for accurately tracking and communicating all activity to Retail Operations

  • Communicate successes, obstacles, wins, and needs to leadership


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Business degree preferred

  • Six (6) months prior sales, promotion, retail, hospitality or marketing experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of products and services

  • Excellent communications, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

  • Impeccable integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, remote team environment

  • Ability to maintain customer confidentiality

  • Reliable transportation within assigned territory

  • Flexibility in schedule to work experiential or retail events and to work weekend or non-standard shifts

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of time to support national event activations

The Marketing Communications group is responsible for communicating S&C's solutions simply and powerfully to customers, key contributors, and the industry at large. The Event Coordinator reports to the Assistant Manager - Marketing Support & Events as part of the Marketing Communications team at S&C. The position is responsible for coordinating S&C's regional trade shows as well as internal and external stakeholder conferences. They work closely with sales and marketing leaders to plan, execute, and measure memorable events that leave lasting impressions with customers. They manage the end-to-end logistics of these events including budgets, staffing, vendors, and contracts with service providers. In addition, they build ongoing relationships with Regional and Corporate sales leaders as well as Product Development teams ensuring open communication and feedback. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: * Project manage 20+ tradeshows and events annually. Tradeshows range in size from sponsorships to 20x20. * Lead planning efforts around customer and sales events as well as hospitality events consisting of 200+ attendees. * Coordinate with event leads to develop project plans, workflows, and timelines for each event. * Schedule and lead necessary stakeholder meetings or sub meetings, develop and distribute meeting agendas, facilitate the meeting and report out on actionable items. * Set performance goals and establish measures to track event progress and success. * Run onsite logistics for internal and external conferences and events. * Negotiate contracts to deliver the best value for S&C's marketing spend. * Build strong partnerships with sales, product development, and marketing communications teams. * Apply industry knowledge and best practices to ensure a return on trade show objectives. * Collaborate closely with outside partners (vendors, conference producers, etc.) including management of third-party meeting schedules and site visits. * Commit to understanding the power industry and S&C's solutions and their impacts on customers and industries. To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following: * Four-year degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field OR appropriate combination of education and experience. * 3-5 years minimum of relevant experience with trade show and event coordination * Expertise with trade show & event contract/invoice negotiation and reconciliation * Excellent project management and organization skills * Able to handle multiple projects and deadlines at the same time * Excellent communication skills, both written and oral * Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and with customers * Able to work collaboratively in a team environment * Able to think creatively and bring new ideas that add value to events * Able to work independently or with minimal direction * Able to travel 10% of the time including evenings and weekends * Occasionally working outside normal business hours * Expertise in MS Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) * Certified Trade Show Marketer (CTSM), Certified Meeting Planner (CMP), or Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus Relevant Work Experience: Three years working in a business to business organization.
