The Market DirectorBanking Trainee is responsible for completing the Market DirectorBanking Training Program and learning the business activities of a Market DirectorBanking. The Market Director-Banking Trainee will be evaluated in the following areas:

  • People: Assist in recruitment, development and retention of Bankers

  • Growth: Focus on building Branch Manager and Banker skills necessary for deposit and investment balance growth (e.g. Support Market Directors in the delivery of the Banker Development Training program)

  • Access: Partner with Branch Operating Model Leads, Market DirectorsBanking and Wealth Management to support Innovation/Retrofit launch execution and continued performance monitoring of impacted branches

  • Customers: Develop and ensure OSAT (customer and overall satisfaction) strategies are in place; monitor implementation and ongoing performance with Market Director-Banking

  • Controls: Conduct joint visits to heightened branches with Field Resolution Specialist; Partner with regional support teams on various controls activities (e.g. Internal Controls Self Check, Collateral Champions)

  • Actively lead or partner on Region specific initiatives

Upon placement, the Market Director Banking is responsible for overseeing the business activities and financial results in a designated geographical consumer market made up of approximately 20 branches.

The Market Director will drive a world class customer experience, strategize to drive the growth of the deposits and banking business, develop and coach Branch Managers, and oversee the management of the market. Responsibilities:

As a Market Director you will leverage your leadership and communication skills to:

Manage and coach branch managers to engage customers

o Coach branch managers on best practice techniques for coaching, reviewing business, and ensuring compliance

o Recruit, retain, and develop excellent talent to be customer-obsessed

o Encourage integration and cooperation between branch manager, bankers, and advisor

o Address any escalated client issues promptly and effectively

o Instill an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and able to achieve career growth

Drive growth in the business

o Develop strategy to achieve key financial metrics including deposit and investment balance growth, customer acquisition and retention, and expense management.

o Drive integration with partners from Chase Wealth Management, Business Banking and Home Lending (One Chase) to give our customers access to solutions, strategies and expertise to give our customers one place to meet all of their financial needs.

o Partner with other market leaders (e.g., Market Director Wealth) to ensure the growth of other lines of business, including investments and loans

o Being a visionary who influences the use of technology to meet the customers' needs of today and the future.

o Work with branch managers to implement growth strategy

Manage the market to ensure an excellent customer experience

o Have a passion for our customers which results in all of our employees meeting and exceeding our customer expectations and creating a customer obsessed culture.

o Ensure that all branch managers are effectively mitigating risk and remaining in compliance to guarantee a safe banking experience for clients

  • Branch management or other related management experience

  • BA/BS degree preferred
