How will you make an impact?

Are you passionate about creating integrated marketing campaigns for both B2B and B2C customers? The Global Market Development Manager will create and execute on comprehensive global marketing growth plans to drive measurable revenue growth. S/he will collaborate with product management and regional market development partners to build and execute global growth strategies that include new product introductions, cross divisional campaigns and distributor marketing programs.

What will you do?

  • Develop and execute strategic, multi-channel integrated global marketing plans for areas of responsibility, including customer segmentation, competitor analysis, business trends, market opportunities, sales funnels, and staging and pacing of tactical programs.

  • Create and implement appropriate marketing content across multiple channels, including social media, web, video, print, and more

  • Develop and manage a robust lead generation funnel

  • Maintain and apply knowledge of the market trends and competitive activity

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong results orientation

  • Proven track record of getting results in a matrix environment

  • 7+ years of experience developing marketing strategy and successfully building and implementing marketing plans for scientific instruments or molecular biology reagents.

  • Knowledge of the following key competencies: 4Ps and marketing mix, marketing communication, communication channels, channels-to-market, segmentation, value proposition and marketing program development and execution.

  • Experience in developing successful lead generation programs using multi-channel strategies to drive funnel fulfillment.

  • Experience with marketing and voice of customer VOC.

  • Exceptional communication skills as well as analytical, project management and planning skills necessary.

  • Demonstration of digital marketing expertise with proven campaigns in display advertising, search engine marketing, social, video and automation approaches.

  • Experience with product area marketing plans, general knowledge of operating plans or industry practices for promoting and selling similar products.

  • Strong business acumen and customer focus are essential.

  • Must be able to manage project scope, budget and schedule to achieve timely completion of project deliverables

  • Bachelor's degree in business, science, engineering or related degree.

Desired Qualifications:

  • MBA a plus.

  • Travel is required. (25%)

The Regional Market Development Manager / Sr. Regional Market Development Manager (RMD) for Oncology is responsible for developing, implementing and actively managing the market development strategy across a variety of market verticals, such as immuno-oncology, hematology and genomic analysis of tumors. Ideal candidates for this position will have strong knowledge of genomics in oncology and understands how discoveries are being translated into clinical practice. S/he will be responsible for defining and implementing regional and globally developed campaigns, events and promotions to build a pipeline of prospects, and engage with clinical and laboratory customers across institution types. Reports to Director, Oncology Global Market Development. The successful candidate will be a results-oriented leader and will coordinate closely with Sales, Product Management, Medical Affairs and other partners at various levels in the company. S/he acts as project lead and liaison to internal and outside vendors, maintaining excellent professional relationships, in order to facilitate the conversion of marketing ideas and messages into effective marketing programs. The candidate would have the opportunity to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams and cultivate key partnerships with KOLs in support of strategic Oncology programs. Successful candidates will combine strong scientific understanding with strategic analysis, business acumen and leadership skills. What will you do? * Lead cross-functional teams as an individual contributor to developing tactical action plans that drive revenue growth. * Develop annual strategic marketing plans and network them with Sales, Product Management and Global Market Development. Proactively lead a joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship. Update plans quarterly based on the market opportunity and channel feedback. * Drive qualified lead generation and conversion programs that result in sales and long-term customer satisfaction. Measure and report on market effectiveness. * Develop messaging & tools that communicate the value/brand directly to customers through multiple channels, including sales force, digital marketing, events and word of mouth strategy. * Gain customer insights to develop tools and shorten the sales cycle and provide feedback to product management and global marketing for a strategic message and product opportunities. * Support Commercial in-field activities including customer & field education on the utilization of new and existing Oncology products. * Develop scientific and clinical proof points to increase system placements and reagent utilization. * Maintain relevant knowledge of competitive activities and develop effective countermeasures. * Develop and implement sales force training with assistance from relevant partners; participate in sales discussions and customer visits, where possible. * Work collaboratively with the sales force on business development opportunities. * Lead and drive strategy, cross-business coordination and tactical execution for selected North America-based trade shows and conferences, from large international conferences, to smaller local workshops and seminars. * Evaluate the effectiveness of channel programs and improve upon them. * Synthesize customer experiences and desires into new Oncology product concepts in partnership with Product Marketing. How will you get here? Education * Master's Degree in Genetics, Molecular Biology, other related science fields, or MBA with 8-10 years' experience in a Life Sciences sales, marketing or product marketing role. * MD or Ph.D. preferred. Experience * 4+ years' experience with genomics technologies, products and/or applications, or in oncology. * Has a thorough functional understanding of corporate marketing functions, planning, and strategy. * Able to develop, align and execute impactful tactical plans with clear objectives, quality deliverables, and key performance metrics. * Sales experience a plus. * Previous business development, sales, or marketing experience related to genomics and clinical practice is preferred. * In-depth knowledge of the next generation sequencing (NGS) market and competitors with knowledge of oncology applications. * Field travel up to 30 % travel.
