The Marketing Development Manager (MDM) is responsible for new account development and expanding existing accounts within a geographic region. They will work with gastroenterologists, as well as bariatric surgeons, introducing Apollo's product portfolio to the practice. The MDM will manage a defined set of assigned accounts and is responsible for sales growth in those accounts. The MDM will work with their Regional Business Director to ensure Apollo's marketing programs are being leveraged locally as well as work to set up appropriate local marketing initiatives.

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES:

  • Local business plan development and tactical execution to increase the utilization of Apollo's product portfolio in the assigned accounts.

  • Meet or exceed revenue forecast for the assigned geography.

  • Support the clinical needs of customers by in-servicing surgeons, gastroenterologists, as well as supporting staff on Apollo's products

  • Attend and support the evaluation procedures of Apollo's products to ensure they are being utilized consistently with the products cleared indications, and directions for use.

  • Achieve the designated call expectations with a focus on high priority physicians.

  • Work with practice office staff and marketing representatives to ensure marketing efforts are being followed up on.

  • Work with Regional Business Director to select and plan account activity for target accounts.

  • Work within defined company expense policies and procedures.

  • Assist other members of the Regions - by sharing best practices in the territory in order to foster a team environment.

  • Other duties as assigned

BASIC SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree required in business administration or other health related field or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of five (5)+ years of sales experience within the surgical device or surgical endoscopic device, and /or business consulting experience within the medical field, preferably in an area related to obesity

  • Previous experience with Endoscopic, GI , Laparoscopic, or Bariatric experience in the Operating Room or GI Lab is strongly preferred

  • Must have exceptional clinical knowledge in general surgery, bariatric surgery, therapeutic endoscopy, gynecological surgery, gastroenterology and/or urological procedures.

  • An in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of the health care environment, including practice management and marketing.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Be a self-starter with strong time management and planning skills.

  • Proven history of multiple call point selling

  • Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and achieve results through a daily action plan.

  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to be a good team member.

  • History of demonstrated leadership character required

  • Demonstrable organizational skills required

  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, expense reporting system required;

  • Strong analytical and presentation software expertise preferred.

  • Travel requirement of approximately 40%

Responsibilities * Act as the liaison between the General Manager and department managers, developing and implementing procedures and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow within the organization. * Provide work direction to the Agronomy, Energy, Grain, Feed and Operations departments. * Manage the elevator operations according to divisional objectives to provide patrons with prompt, courteous and effective service while maintaining the efficiency necessary to achieve a maximum margin of profit. * Manage the elevator workforce through responsible training, clear job assignment definition and explanation, correct deficient performance, and effectively reward and develop all employees. * Evaluate and make recommendations to improve existing programs of elevator housekeeping, safety and equipment maintenance to avoid breakdowns and limit safety hazards. Maintain all related record keeping logs. * Evaluate the results of overall operations regularly and systematically and reports these results to the General Manager. * Maintain record keeping logs on all elevator equipment including legs, conveyors, grain cleaner, vehicles and all facility equipment. * Oversee, monitor, and enforce all company policies and procedures. * Oversee the accurate weighing, grading, binning, dumping and pricing of incoming grain. * Oversee the blending, unloading, and loud-out of trucks and rail cars. Complete the required documentation. * Monitor stored grain condition and maintain quality of inventory. * Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or needed.
