Market Development Managers will be responsible for achieving key sales objectives through the managing of multiple distributors and aggressively growing new accounts, facilitating the growth and development of the Golden Road Brewing product mix and brand value in a different market area.This position will support the growth of Golden Road in AB's Region 4 (Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota) and is based in St. Louis, MO.
60% of duties focused on wholesaler management, 20% Key Accounts & 20% GRB focused Crew Drives.
Executes quarterly and annual strategic business plan for achieving budgeted sales figures for defined region area.
Execution of Kroger brand plan in Region, along with other retail Chain accounts.
Creates, presents, and tracks sales incentive programs to wholesalers.
Monitors sales volume goals for wholesalers within defined market.
Recommends and implements sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analysis.
Presents new brands and marketing strategies to wholesalers.
Follow key timelines to ensure expansion of Golden Road brands meet the expansion model outline.
Track & Measure the expansion of Golden Road brands into key chain accounts within the territory.
Acts as the direct contact from the brewery to accounts, and wholesalers within market territory.
Executes special events, festivals, and On & Off Premise events to promote brand awareness of Golden Road.
Manages direct report(s) of Field Sales Representative(s).
5 years Sales or Promotions experience in beverage alcohol industry strongly preferred.
Previous experience working in Wholesale environment required.
Strong verbal communications skills.
Demonstrable time management and organizational skills.
Certified Beer Server or Certified Cicerone preferred.
Must have the ability to lift and move 35lbs. cases of beer frequently, and move and place 165 lbs. kegs as needed.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
